We don't need to follow the white man's ways. Banks are there to ensure we are indebted throughout whether you take a loan or not. Development can only take place when the root cause of poverty which is greed is done away with.
I'm not talking about the White man, I'm talking about the whole world and using practical examples. Pan Africanism is not about hating the white man bro, it is about implementing ideas that work. The most equal and economically well off countries have a strong banking system - even here in Africa. You can't develop a country when your citizens keep their money below there beds.

Please explain to me how banks like KCB ensure I am indebted?

All those strong economies rely on Exploiting Africa.

That Bank with a patriotic name lends to the govt which in turn pays it's loans through your hard aerned cash, that Bank is regulated by the cbk which in turn is regulated by the US Federal banks...Do the math and you'll see why poverty and Africa are synonymous.

Your newfound ideology is a coping mechanism many corrupt African leaders have used to divert responsibility from themselves..............they understand that if Africans believed the White Man is the problem, then no one will question their looting. BTW, some rich countries do exploit Africa but they surely don't rely on the exploitation. Other rich countries simply develop a good work ethic and eradicate corruption - How has South Korea, Japan, Qatar, Luxermbourg, Australia or Finland exploited Africa for instance?

As absurd as your statement is let's for a second assume you are right - so how come countries with an almost non-existent banking system like C.A.R are way way poorer than Kenya?

I don't blame The white man for the current problems in Africa but rather I question our leaders and Ourselves as a people for not questioning the cultures that we've adopted which is greed. Those countries You quoting invest on their people. Bauxite,Gold, Diamonds, uranium ore,Iron Ore, copper, Nickel, Cobalt, Rare earth metals, Timber, Coffee,Tea all sourced from Africa and not a single industry for processing into finished products? Gari unanunua Kwa Mjapani, simu Kwa mchina and you want to convince us huoni Kuna kitu ambayo sio sahihi?

CAR is a war zone and minerals are being mined my friend. Security Kwa kampuni Iko lakini Kwa Mwana CAR hakuna...fungua macho.

What you say here is different from what you said before. Initially, you said KCB making profits is a bad thing and claimed we shouldn't adopt the white man's ways. Now you are praising the whites for investing in their people - and wishing we did the same - do you want the white man's ways or you don't. Which is which? Kuwa na msimamo.

Again, what you say is very true - but it's very unrelated to the discussion at hand. Weakening our banking sytem will push us further from developing our industries than closer. I'll still take you back to our African examples. The most industrialized countries in mainland Sub-Saharan Africa in terms of total industrial production are South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya in that order. They are also the 3 countries with the most developed banking system. You can't sport any correlation?
Banking and industry go hand in hand. Like I said before, you want development but you;re not willing to risk what it takes to get it. You admire the developed West but still frown upon adopting the systems that developed them because you want to subscribe to some radical pan African ideology of baseless pride. Your newfound hero, Nyerere tried the same and brought Tanzania's economy to ground. Mugabe tried the same and now see what happened to Zimbabwe. Yahya Jammeh used it to hide his corruption - radical Africans were praising him for 'not taking while man's crap' while all the time he was looting his country dry.
CAR is a war zone and minerals are being mined my friend. Security Kwa kampuni Iko lakini Kwa Mwana CAR hakuna...fungua macho.
It is a war zone because it has refused to implement what you call White Man's systems. If we start putting our money under the bed like you want, Kenya will become a war zone too. The economy will collapse, the poor will be robbed, the government will go completely broke, it will be war.

Clearly The white man's way isn't working for us 50+ years after independence, only a fool does the same thing over and over expecting different results. Their ways work for them and that I praise them for.

Which industries are you talking about? We cannot drill our own oil neither can we refine it, we have coal no industry, we have iron ore no industry.

Your last paragraph sums it all... Either the white man's way or poverty and war 😏 To you money is everything, to I resources is everything.

First of all, it's working. If it wasn't, you would still be living in a grass thatched mud house like your forefathers and dying at the age of 35 if you're lucky not to die from measles, polio or diarrhea before you hit 5.

Which industries are you talking about? We cannot drill our own oil neither can we refine it, we have coal no industry, we have iron ore no industry.
I said we are the third most industrialized country in mainland sub-Saharan Africa. If you disagree, maybe you can list me the country with higher industrial output than Kenya in SSA other than Nigeria and SA.
Your last paragraph sums it all... Either the white man's way or poverty and war 😏 To you money is everything, to I resources is everything.
This is absurd. 🤣🤣 According to you, countries that aren't so blessed with resources like Kenya and Japan shouldn't have any hopes of developing? 🤣🤣

I didn't say money is everything, I said institutions are everything and banks are part of the institutions. No country in the current world can develop without a good banking system.

Who told you life expectancy in Africa was 35 years before the coming of Europeans? Do you know those diseases mentioned were brought by the white man? Ati mud houses 😁😁 learn your History then you'll know where you come from.

There's no industrialization in Africa my friend, tuache jokes bana!

Resources include people my friend. Angalia wabunge wenu zile vutu Wana debate Kwa bunge a whole week alafu uniambie kama Kuna Cha kusaidia the poor majority.

Which institutions are you talking about? Who owns those banks? What is their purpose? Interest rates ziko aje na zinasaidia mwananchi or they are slaving away to repay the loans while most cannot access the loans. Even with your banking system that works magic, Kenyans living in poverty has increased tremendously post independence.
If money is not everything then why do we need money? Is there no other way you can think of? Our problems our solutions is the way to go unless you are a beneficiary of the man eat man system.

Who told you life expectancy in Africa was 35 years before the coming of Europeans? Do you know those diseases mentioned were brought by the white man?
Yes, it was. Read some history books. our life expectancy has risen steadily in the past 120 years. In fact it was lower. In 1940, it was 40 years and had been rising.

Ati mud houses 😁😁 learn your History then you'll know where you come from.
Okay, let's assume for a second you know what you're talking about - what type of houses did your ancestors live in? Please, show us a sample photo of an existing one for proof.

You're arguing like ichoboy now. 🚮🚮

Human resource creates wealth which you are currently trashing because it's a white man's ideology. And what has the bolded part got to do with my argument?

Which institutions are you talking about? Who owns those banks?
Tell me, who owns them and who is supposed to own them?
What is their purpose? Interest rates ziko aje na zinasaidia mwananchi or they are slaving away to repay the loans while most cannot access the loans.
Are you against bank loans or for them? Have a stand.
Even with your banking system that works magic, Kenyans living in poverty has increased tremendously post independence.
False - read your history ..................or better still, ask your father the kind of life he lived compared to what you live or better still, compare your childhood to your kids childhood - give an honest opinion on which is of better standards.

If money is not everything then why do we need money? Is there no other way you can think of? Our problems our solutions is the way to go unless you are a beneficiary of the man eat man system.

😂😂 Life expectancy from 1950?? We were slaves then to the British Empire, no land no rights no economic empowerment. With such conditions you expect people to live to their 70s?

Mud houses were better than the current stone single roomed slum houses plus people didn't pay rent 😁

You still cannot show me a single heavy Industry South of The Sahara North of The Limpopo 😏

Human resource in Africa creates wealth for the wealthy 😁 poverty levels keep rising ama nimedanganya?

Capitalism clearly doesn't work for us Africans, can you account for the half a century under capitalism with Kenya as an example?

Do you own a bank? Any of your friends or family own a bank?
Why the high interest rates if their aim is to improve the society in general?

Life pre independence and post independence is totally different but at least people lived in no slums back then or maybe slums are a sign of improvement in life according to you...look at the bigger picture Bro, there were no slums during our parents days ama vipi Kaka?
Wake up from the big slumber Bro for the sake of your kids.

before we designate the white man as the devil just remember an age old truth....credit builds civilizations but predictory credit kills it. Finding the balance is a subjective endeavor

I thought you said your ancestors didn't live in mud houses? Are you arguing because you believe something or just for the sake of it? How about you just say - I was wrong on that instead of this shifting of goals just to keep arguing?
You still cannot show me a single heavy Industry South of The Sahara North of The Limpopo 😏
Like I said, I won't engage you on this topic anymore if you're going to keep arguing like ichoboy.

Human resource in Africa creates wealth for the wealthy 😁 poverty levels keep rising ama nimedanganya?
Again, what has that got to do with this discussion? I thought you were the same person disparaging the white peoples models in favor of African models - now you're acting as if I was the one for African models.

Capitalism clearly doesn't work for us Africans, can you account for the half a century under capitalism with Kenya as an example?
Can you account for the numerous millennia before capitalism? The only thing we had to show for it was mud houses and goatskin clothes. At least now we have cities, enough food, cleaner water and illnesses like measles no longer wipe out whole communities when they strike - all in 60 years - maybe 120 if you factor the years before independence during the adoption of capitalism.

Do you own a bank? Any of your friends or family own a bank?
Again, ichoboy kind of reasoning. 🚮🚮
Since you joined the Nyerere brigade your reasoning has dropped to levels of their worst thinkers.🚮🚮

Why the high interest rates if their aim is to improve the society in general?
What are high interests and what are low interests? Banks are businesses, not charity - if you find it too expensive, don't take it. That's the beauty of it................and if you've run a business, you'll understand that no matter how low you set your price, someone will always complain.

Life pre independence and post independence is totally different but at least people lived in no slums back then or maybe slums are a sign of improvement in life according to you...look at the bigger picture Bro, there were no slums during our parents days ama vipi Kaka?
Were there not? What's your definition of a slum? The buildings you call slums are closest to what your forefathers lived in. Again, a small percentage of people live in slums and things are improving. I simply asked a question - do you live better or worse than your parents? Do your children live better or worse than you? This slum topic is a diversionary tactic.

Wake up from the big slumber Bro for the sake of your kids.
You call your hatred of your country waking up? 🤣🤣
Dude, you seriously think I can't see through your bullshit? You were a staunch Uhuruto sycophant and when Uhuru played Ruto for Raila, you got so angry you started hating your own country and that's where all this bitterness is stemming from. Free advice, don't let politics control your patriotism - these politicians are all here for themselves and they'll be gone soon - but your country remains. You're not awakened buddy, you're simply bitter. If you really believed the bullshit you're spewing here you wouldn't be all over praising Tanzania considering it's not really an economic success itself and their level of development is less than ours.

y'all two cut it out. this ain't the spot for y'all's conversation

Do you know how to study graphs?
I know how to use logic, a graph can be manipulated data.

Again, ichoboy kind of reasoning. 🚮🚮

In slums you pay rent, buy water, buy food, buy everything plus the conditions are deplorable...sewer, diseases, crime, prostitution, hunger, anger, fire, and floods. Now compare that to our forefathers...land is free, resources are free, no rent no sewers, girls then practiced no prostitution, crime was almost unheard of and begging was inexistent saa Hii even your so called leaders are beggars.

Stop arguing with emotions and argue with facts. We were low tech before the white man - that's the truth. Having a gold mine doesn;t mean you are technologically advanced. Any idiot can mine gold - I come from a village that mined gold. The fact that you think mining gold is high civilization tells it all - especially when you have to run thousands of kilometres from your village to find a place that where gold was mined. Why not talk about your own people? ............what kind of high-tech civilization do these people need to mine gold?

The fact remains, the white man came here flying an airplane when we hadn't even discovered the wheel - so what technology are you talking about? You can't run from the truth in the name of ego.

My question is do you own one? Can you own one and what are the requirements and can you meet them?
I do not have to own a bank to acknowledge its importance in the economy dude. Do you own an airplane? So should we ban airplanes in this country because very few people can own one? Hata ichoboy amekushinda sasa. At least we know sometimes he does it deliberately to annoy.🤣🤣

First of all, what was the population of this country when your forefathers roamed around naked? The whole of Kenya had less than 1M people yet one woman could give birth to over 20 kids those days. Do you know why? People died early - half of those kids didn't live past 5 years and the remaining barely reached 40.

Secondly, a slum is the worst state of modern living.................the traditional huts are the best your ancestors could do. If we have to compare apples to apples then we should compare those traditional huts of your people with mansions in Nairobi or at least, decent housing in middleclass Nairobi. Kibera should be compared with some cave where snakes, hyenas, leopards and rain could pay you a visit anytime they wished - where the worst of your ancestors lived.

Anyway, as a Kenyan, you can choose to live in a mud hut and roam around naked if you wanted - why are you holed up in a Nairobi slum?

You still believe in patriotism shenanigans 😂 I am for open them fuckin borders... mental slavery is real.
Open to who? The current world cannot run without law. We are no longer 1 million people in the whole country. Open the borders and you get a lawless country with nothing functioning.

Yes, I was uhuruto damu na saa Hii najua I cannot trust anybody or any party to make my life better. Only a fool doesn't change his past ways juu Kila siku nasoma jipya.
Of course, your bitterness stems from the fallout between Uhuru and your man Ruto. That's why your arguments makes no sense. I have seen people who are genuinely against capitalism and Western civilization and they make better and coherent points. Not just jumping from argument to argument to keep the argument going. You are an emotional man, being emotional is a female trait. Humans change and Uhuru and Ruto are humans. Once you start reasoning on logic, no politicians decision will determine your view towards anything.

I live in the 22Century, your grandkids will prove me right.
