Whats sad about that pic? Flash floods wreck alot of havoc all over the world especialy in arid and semi arid places, plus they have not finished the drainage, if thika road is still intact 8 years on there is nothin to worry..

Hahaha. Pamoja na kupigwa pesa zote
Hapo suala sio mchina, suala ni ufala wa many of u Kenyans.[emoji3] [emoji3]

Kenyans rap state, Chinese contractor after flood waters sweep sections of SGR

The ministry of transport has come under fire from Kenyans on social media after a picture showing part of the SGR washed away by flood waters emerged.

The incident has sparked outrage among Kenyans who have lashed at the Chinese contractors and the government for the error on the much expected railway line.

The Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) is tipped as one of the Jubilee Administration's flagship projects under the Kenya Vision 2030.

Most of those who reacted to the photo are now questioning the durability of the railway line after its showed weak points even before its official use.

They castigated the China Road and Bridge Corporation - the company contracted to build the line - of doing a shoddy job.

SGR is scheduled to be officially commissioned for use by December 2017.

What is Bad about this???

Hapo hata nani hangeweza Wen Rain is too heavy even buildings collapse ....Tanzanians should know this given the earth quake at Bukoba

Mother nature is a bitch.....

Anyway, most of the raised structure is just sand, comapacted together, they are supposed to reenforce it with concrete then put a drainage along the bottom...From that pic, you can see that, that had not happended............. The rain chipped the bottom part because there was no drainage, one it did that, it stated eroding the sand wich had not been reenforced, and like I said, mother nature is a bitch,..But you can see, its still structurally sound, a fully loaded train can still pass..
Anyway, the Chinese company contract is that they would maintain the rail for like 5years after its completed, so that any weaknesses, damage are repaired by them at no cost..
