I like how the headquarters of Konza Development Authority is the first building to be done, All those in charge of Konza move to that office and commute from Nairobi to Konza everyday..... In fact the first residential houses should go to these guys, These people should live and work in Konza... This way it will guarantee that they will work day and night for the development of Konza and make sure it progresses in the fastest time possible....... If they want to shop in Konza then they are forced to look for an investor to build a supermarket or a mall, if they want their kids to go to a good school near home then they have to facilitate the investment of a good school within Konza, if the dust is causing respiratory problem then they will make sure the place is green, if there is a water problem then they will have to build a reservoir....


This is what Lappset/Lamu port project did... The lapsset HQ building + police station in Lamu was the first infrastructure to be completed and the chairman of lapsset had to move their and since that time it has progressed very well... Before he moved to Lamu the construction of the port was three months behind schedule
