Ukisafiri kila baada ya KM kadhaa inabidi ulipe toll siyo nyingi mfano US it is about 2.50us dollars, Thailand unalipa equivalent na 1 dollar, Myanmar ukienda vijiini unalipa about 1 us dollar lakini ni kila count yaani wilaya. Hizo pesa ndo zinasaidia miundombinu kuendelea. Barabara zipo safi kabisa. Siyo sisi unalazimishwa kulipa kwenye foleni tena mabasi tu. It does not work like that..

In developed economies the issue of toll roads is not uncommon. There are several, also the private roads.

That's a common way. There must be an adjacent free facility that is not in good condition as the tolled one. Also restrictions such as speed limits, speed humps/bumps.

Mimi naona hio price ya project ikoo juu Sana,lakini sioni shida ya ppp,kama hautaki foleni unalipa toll ksh 70 na kama hautaki kulipia unatumia lanes za chini ambazo ni free

The free road is also being re-constructed.
It will include a bus lane and on some sections a 2 lane service road on both sides.

Sijapata uchambuzi wa mahesabu yake vizuri, lakini ninachojua ni kwamba kufumua katikati ya mji sio mchezo, haswa kwa Nairobi.

Wajinga ndiyo waliwao. Kwa hiyo mchina akiwajengea yeye anaondoka zake?

Kwa mujibu wa IPSAS hiyo yote ni sawa na deni kwa public kwa maana kukitokea na demand risk, lazima serikali atafuatwa ili ku top up the gap. Na mara nyingi hiyo inakuwa kwenye contract.

Uzuri wa hii ni kuwa na cash motivation

katika maana ya kuwa serikali haina haja ya kutenga bajeti ya ujenzi wa asset hiyo. Lingine ni kuwa, in case the project is not doing good, the lenders will foreclose the spv or project company and project, but not the promoters of the project. Hii inaitwa off balance sheet in project finance.
