The Kenyatta University Hospital was officially opened on Monday.
The teaching, referral and research facility has a 650-bed capacity and sits on 100-acres.
It will provide emergency, cardiology, laboratory, gynecology services and oncology services.
Other services include pediatric, surgical and funeral home services.

And then baada ya hapo individuals can have access to health care kwa kusubscribe kwy mifuko hii ya afya na akapata huduma za matibabu vile vile;
18 to 35 yrs ni TZS 190,000
35 to 59 yrs ni TZS 240,000

Mtoto chini ya 18 years anaruhusiwa kutumia card ya wazazi wake halipiwi kando, Kwa wale unemployed/ self employed ni Mia tano monthly ,kama mke au mume ana kadi ya nhif itatumika Kwa familia nzima hadi Kwa watoto Bora wawe chini ya 18 years,halafu pia **** bima tofauti za matibabu unaweza ukachagua uipendayo kulingana na uwezo wako.Unajua binadamu hatupo sawa...na hata uelewa wetu ni tofauti. Kama wewe upo smart kwa nini usinieleweshe tu? Kwani utapungukiwa kitu?
Haya nakuomba unijibu pls kwa mkenya under 18 yrs analipa sh ngapi kuwa na hizo medical insurance? Lengo langu ni kutaka kujua access ya huduma hizi za medical insurance iko inapatikana kwa urahisi na namna gani kwa wananchi wote wa kawaida kenya.
Categories of NHIF Members ambazo nataka kujua gharama kwa Kenya ikoje ni hizi 2 tu;
- Private individuals (with no employers/self-employed) ambazo bei zake nilikupo kwy post ya Mwanzo
- TOTO Afya Kadi for children under 18 years ambayo ndo hii tunawalipia Tsh 50400.

Unapoenda kujisajili Kwa huduma ya NHIF unaandika majina ya wale wote ambao watanufaika , watoto na mke, Hio kadi wakati unaitumia kulipa wakiieka Kwa system inaonesha majina ya beneficiaries wote , Mtoto hata kama yupo shulen kama ni ugonjwa utahitaji uwepo wa Mzazi lakini kama ni ugonjwa wa kawaida tu shule hugharamia maana unapolipa karo Kwa hio Karo zipo pesa za matibabu pia wapo wanafunzi ambao wazazi wao hawapo kwenye huduma ya NHIF serikali imehakikisha imewasajili wote Kwa huduma ya NHIF .Asante mkuu, kwa hiyo kama mtu ni self-employed/unemployed na ana mke na watoto 4 akajisubscribe nhif kwa gharama ya ksh 500/month, hiyo card ya baba itacover kwa watoto wote 4 na mkewe pia? If yes then this is so cool and very much affordable maana 500×12×20 ni kama Tsh 120,000 hivi.
Na iwapo watoto wapo mbali/mashuleni inamaana hiyo card ya baba inatolewa copy nyingi ili kila mwanafamilia awe nayo? Authentification inafanyikaje hapo kuhakiki hakika ni mlengwa hasa?
Na kwa gharama hiyo unaaccess direct to any referal hospital in ke?
