President to inaugurate Kibaki road in Tanzania visit

President Kibaki is in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania for a two-day state visit.
The President was received at the Julius Nyerere International Airport by President Jakaya Kikwete before inspecting a guard of honour mounted the Tanzanian Defence Forces.

In Tanzania, the Head of State will hold bilateral talks with President Kikwete at Dar-es-Salaam State House before inaugurating a new road named in his honour.

During the talks, the two leaders will review the progress made towards advancing shared interests through the Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC) framework.

President Kibaki will also tour Ukonga Maximum prison to experience first hand the on-going prisons reforms.

He is scheduled to hold talks with Elders of Dar-es-Salaam.

The President will also use the visit to bid farewell to the government and the people of Tanzania, as his term as Kenyan President ends.

The Head of State is accompanied by Cabinet Ministers Sam Ongeri and Joseph Nyaga among other senior government officials and also some representatives of the business community.

The President was received at the airport by Kenyans residing in Tanzania led by Kenya's High Commissioner to Tanzania Ambassador Mutinda Mutiso.

MY TAKE

I call these events diplomacy, there was already a visit by RAO and a visit of Dr Magufuli in ODM presidential nomination that arouse everyone's imagination of a break of a protocol by Dr Magufuli. So to rescind that mistake Kibaki is now given a red carpet farewell. Mind u, t
here is already Raila Odinga Grounds at St Augustine University of Tanzania. And all have been instrumented by none than other this man (in the RAO right hand and present in every picture except the first one) to diffuse the tension that exists now!

There's Nyerere Road in Nairobi, Arusha Road, Accra Road, Abuja Road, Luthuli Avenue, Lagos Road, and a host of names from other AFRICAN countries . I doubt if there is a country that's not represented in Kenya. During colonial days, everything was European (Victoria Avenue, Queensway, Denis Pritt etc) Immediately after independence, all the names of existing roads were changed to ones and all those constructed after were given African names.

Absolutely, what has he done to deserve that? This country has lost its direction. I presume maybe because he stole the votes and entered into power.
