GRANT AMOUNT REQUESTED: US $ 358,476 DATE OF SUBMISSION: 24[SUP]th[/SUP] August 2014 DATE OF RECEIPT: OUR VISION: Charity Foundation Orphanage (CFO) is aiming to improve the education and living standard of needy orphans, vulnerable widows and widowers regardless their tribes, genders, races, religions and other differences. Similarities only are considered first. Differences shall never be considered. PROJECTS INTENSITY/ STRENGTHS/ACHIEVEMENTS a) We have also opened a temporary head office. b) We have committed volunteers. c) We deal with home based care for those who are HIV/AIDS victims left by their husbands and wives by giving them food, medical care and hope in their lives. d) We have succeeded to give food, medicines, clothes, uniforms and food for 20 out 100 targeted orphans. . SHORT COMINGS/WEAKNESS/SELF INDULGENT LIKIN The project is facing the following Constraints in the due course of establishment/ implementation. a) The project needs its own land at least for the office of the head office. Acquire a 1 hectare farm for building the head offices project are already working on this land acquisition). b) Funds for daily operation costs of the orphanage management for instance, allowance to volunteers, electricity bills, stationers, transportation charges, and others as it can be seen on budget estimation. c) The project has got a financial Constraint i.e. the project still operates in temporary buildings which were given by a Good Samaritan. d) Secretarial facilities: - i.e. computer, printer, photocopy machine e) Funds for supporting orphans in paying school fees, food, uniforms, clothing, bags and medicine f) Funds for supporting vulnerable widows, widowers, needy street children, elderly and other disabled ones. g) The project lacks international friendship, supporters, sponsors and donors which can make the community members being motivated and encouraged h) . UN-prompt payment of salaries (wages) or at least allowance to the committed volunteers who help the smooth running of this project. (a)General objectives of the organization: (i) To provide the protection of food, shelter, clothing, better education, medical care and physical exercises requirements for their fitness and having good health. (ii) To enhance preventive measures against corruption, poverty, disasters, HIV/AIDS, malaria, albino killings, women dehumanization, civil wars, female genital mutilation, and other Cross cutting issue. And to promote initiatives among communities, members for the care of those individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. (iii) To provide a secure base for the orphans physical, mental, psychological and emotional growth. (iv) To help the vulnerable orphans, widows and forgotten groups to acquire good and quality education, health, food, clothes and shelter. (b) Specific objectives: i. To meet the needs of orphans, widows and widowers, needy and vulnerable ones. ii. To provide orphans with a safe hygienic and family environment for their physical and spiritual development. iii. To create a loving environment in which the orphans, abandoned children, widows and widowers can fill loved and cared as others in the community. iv. To provide orphaned children with hope, love, and prospects for the future. v. Also our objectives is to help the forgotten needy and vulnerable orphans to get an education that has a vision and that gives a vision to the children of this nation concerning their future BENEFICIARIES: These are vulnerable orphans and widowers of orphans who will be supported by Charity Foundation Orphanage (C.F.O) THE IMPLEMENTERS: The Board of directors and the project Administrators are the key implementers of the Charity Foundation Orphanage project. The implementers of the Projects are enlisted below. These implementers were elected democratically after consultative meetings and serious investigations. The donors will play a vital role /part in the projects establishment. Donors shall be also considered as Board of Directors. IMPLEMENTATION: PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM (PMT) All members of the PMT are qualified, experienced, committed and competent people. They have successfully undertaken various similar projects, such as World Vision, Women Emancipation and Development Agency, Save the Children, Save old people
