Q1 growth estimate in SSA revised down due to weak performance in Kenya

Haya wacha nijaribu Kiswahili yangu mbaya. K.C.B iko T.Z. Equity bank iko mpaka D.R Congo e.t.c
Sijasema kama service sector ya Kenya sio muhimu, but the argument hapa ilikuwa kwenye one line... "If Kenya sneezes, the rest of Africa catches cold". Mimi nimesema whoever wrote that article hakufanya in depth analysis, nchi ambazo zinaongoza kuleta more FDI in Africa hajaziweka. FDI ni important to the African economy, watu wanapata kazi through FDI similar to export processing zone EPZ or service sector.

Haya basi sote tunakubaliana hapo

I don't think so, Kenya and Ethiopian are relatively boosting the same numbers when it comes to economical output. If what your saying is true, then even Ethiopian can create the same impact if they fell short on there economy. But I don't want to believe that whatever happening in Kenya will directly have affect in Mali or Madagascar. African economy is not integrated like other part or the world. (When Kenya sneezes, its Kenya alone catches the flu).
Ethiopia has attained its growth as forecasted- just like most of the other countries, while Kenya has failed to achieve the projected growth. That got reflected in the tally

Iconoclastes
Post hoc falacy
Myself dont see how the a fourth paragraph of five lines justified the cause and effect relationship. No detailed elaboration showing how an economic downturn in Kenya affects the rest of SSA.

That is the assessment of the economic performance for the whole of the sSaharan region, basing the expectation of the growth upon the past economic upward trend in the continent.

Most of the countries in the continent are experiencing growth. Even those that are lagging, all that has been factored in the forecast, ie Zimbabwe, SA, Nigeria, Angola...

But the biggest boost to the regional growth was based upon the bigger and the better performing economies such as Kenya and Ethiopia. But the slow- down in Kenya has had that less than expected growth results in the sSahara.

Huu mtihani wa 8/8 tukipita, awe nani ama nani atashinda, hii Kenya itakuwa ikikuwa on stetoids my friend, acha hawa wanaongea waongee.
8/8 ndo imesababisha uchumi uyumbe?

So unataka kusema if Kenya were to do well that Q1, African would be laughing all the way to the bank. Wewe, mungu anakuona. Even though we need each other in Africa lakini hatujafika huko, Africa integration is lowest in the world at 11%, comper that with 50% in asia, 70% in EU. Africa inasaidiwa sana na EAC which account to 40% of integration. Na katika EAC ni Kenya na Tanzania ndio wana trade more than other countries.

So, when Kenya sneezes, the rest of the SSA catch the flu. Kenya is truly the giant of Africa in terms of economy.

Ama namna gani my friends?
He he heee wakenya katika ubora wenu wa kujisifia! Kwa maneno haya ndo maana huwa tunaleta tz news kwenye hii forum ili kuwazima maana maelezo huwa hayawaingii!

Back to the topic!

Thats undeniable, Kenya is one of Africa's large economies. But nothing to brag about there, even Tanzania tupo kwenye kundi hilo.

So you are owning the article by trying to give more elucidation. Ok give us the report of the study in order that we deepen our understanding.
