Either side should not be certain about carrying the day come 8/8 @7:30 (7:30?, in Africa? Noo, @00:30 is more like it).

We are facing the first run- off in our history. But whoever will win, congrats. We will move on.

But I do not see Raila winning this thing.

Bro majority of people out there won't bother to get their facts right, that it was reported as a minor stomach upset. Sasa hivi words going around ni Raila alishwa sumu, such a perfect timing after Nkaisery tragedy.
Photos of him lying there while undergoing treatment are being shared and spreading like wildfire. I remember Kibaki on wheelchair during 2002

I am amazed by all the speculation swirling around this matter, and that of Nkaissery on the social media...

Is it that pipo do not understand what is meant by " food poisoning"? , Ama is this yet another golden opportunity to besmirch the jubilee govt for thei own ends?

But in this tense situation the country is in at the moment, all the fuss is understandable. But pipo shld be cognizant of the likely consequences of the comments they post on the social media.

Mtu ambaye hajui kujilinda yeye mwenyewe asiwekewe sumu hafai kuwa rais.

Kama kashindwa kujilinda yeye mwenyewe, anakula ovyo mpaka anakula sumu, atawezaje kuilinda nchi?

Lol. ...kaman ....and who was responsible of educating Kenyans to understand metaphor??

At this particular point in time, every kenyan who knows better should be responsible .Can't you be a responsible Kenyan first b4 putting that blame on someone else... How hard is it to use responsible statements to pass a message.. I myself will vote for Raila, but you wont see me telling Uhuru to pack his bag and move to his village and never come back, it just makes the other side feel more pain and anger when they loose, bringing the possibility of violence once they loose out of being humiliated by such words... When they loose you just tell em, "you did your best, it was a well fought fight but majority have decided so its time we forget our differences and take the country to the next step" but this thing of making others feel like they are not part of govt or there is no life after they loose the election is counter productive... We will never develop with that kind of mindset

Hii ni habari inayoendelea sasa huko Kenya. Anasadikiwa amelishwa sumu kwa chakula.

Taarifa naendelea kuzitafuta kwenye media zingine.

Additionally, Nasa leaders led by Mr Odinga's running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, have said that he is "in good health".

Mr Salim Lone, Mr Odinga's special advisor, also said the Nasa flag-bearer is responding well to treatment.

"Mr Odinga is feeling much better and the doctor just wants to observe him for the next one hour," he said.

Raila Odinga is in stable condition - Kalonzo says

Hawa Watanzania wajifunze Kizungu.
Food poisoning in this context does not literally mean 'poisoning'. Inamaanisha tu kuumwa na tumbo.
Can be anything he ate, lakini hakuna mtu amesema mambo ya sumu.

In any case, it was a false alarm. He has been discharged and stated that it was actually dehydration. Yaani kutokunywa maji ya kutosha.

Kafrican On a side note, I always love your analysis which most of the time is unbiased, educated and mature, can you break it down for me why you voting for Raila. Been looking for a healthy and realistic debate from a Raila supporter who can engage soberly and not too blatant and sycophant.

I just want to know what exactly am I missing through my own analysis of the two horses.

Nyinyi bongolala mtajisaidia sana ile siku mtajifunza kizungu.
'Food poisoning' inamaanisha kuumwa na tumbo. Saa zingine kuhara.

Kweli wajinga ndio waliwao.

Exactly. Whoever will win, we should wish him the best of luck, and we must acknowledge the losing side; congratulate them for their good efforts as well as for their positive aspirations for the country, for their good fight during the campnaigns. Not poke fun at them.

Now that is being a mature democracy.

Whoever will win will be the president for the whole country, not for a cross- section of the Kenyan society. His govt's development programs will benefit us all.

On this issue I think its just a personal preference for me. not be entirely based on point by point analysis... Its just about what I value the most as a priority for myself and Kenyans... I like big development projects, God knows, I really do...I like a man with vision, who inspires hope, who can articulate issues...and for this Uhuru has all that... But what I hold dearest or rather what I hate the most is IMPUNITY, I really hate seeing impunity go unpunished, that is the one thing that makes me really depressed when I see residents uncover a shallow grave of people who had previously been arrested by police, or a policeman issue a warning on gangsters on FB then next thing they are dead, or a crowd mob justices a chicken thief and burn him to death, or health ministry looses billons meant for the really vulnerable and no one goes to jail.... it really hurts me when I see such kind of impunity...
If this was 2030 when we already developed then Uhuru would be my guy, but at this point in time, I think if we really want to be developed in the future, we need to take a pause and go back to taking care of the basics first, food security, police reform and basic human rights, simple stuff like building proper classrooms , observing the law/constitution and following it strictly, solving water problems and sanitation...you know, the really basic stuff that makes a society function properly ... Then after we solve the most basic problems is when we can do the advanced stuff...
If we were in a perfect world I would have vote for someone else completely new and not part of the old school, but as we all know its a two horse race, and between the two Raila is best placed to concentrate on those basic stuff (in my own view) than Uhuru...and as for now (expect for improving access to electricity) uhuru has not solved any of the basic stuff, which for me means no matter how many strides we make as a country we will never really go anywhere as a society

Very well elaborated and clearly manifest the trully meaning of being a patriotic. You have said better than those manyan'gau could ever think of. Kenya needs to move on from this villain of tribalism and work together. I eish Raila the best of luck.
