Raila & Karua for Presidency 2022

Raila & Karua for Presidency 2022

Congrats man, for being an exception to the norm, such critical decisions definately call for very deep sober delibarations. Which for me, I am sad to say, that I haven't yet reached a clear conclusion to. I must say that I have been utterly dismayed, by the voters who jumped, head on, into their respective bandwagons. Very early in the 'game', even before the presidential aspirants officially announced their running mates.

I mean, its been very clear for all and sundry to see, in this current government, that a deputy president is no longer just a flower girl. Not in this current dispensation, brought about by the Constitution of Kenya 2010. As opposed to the Vice Presidents of the old days, who were most of the time just toothless henchmen and yes-men.

Ill be honest and say openly that the Odinga-Karua candidature and maybe presidency, seems more appealing at this juncture, than the Ruto-Rigathi one. That glaring fact was not always so evident, before Martha Karua and Rigathi Gachagua joined the fray.

No human is perfect and also actions speak louder than words. Raila and Karua stood when Kenyans needed it the most especially during the tyrannical government of Moi. Both are progressive as seen in the fight for multiparty in 1992 and the 2010 constitution

Ruto has set the bar high for deputy presidency. Future presidents must be weary of their DPs henceforth. The seat is powerful.
Judging from history, Martha anaeza sumbua kuliko Ruto. She has walked out of Moi's meeting when nobody could dare do something like that. She resigned as a minister during Kibakis term when Raila was prime minister.

Offcourse no man is perfect. That being said, Raila-Karua and their bravery in the face of Moi's tyranny is now very evident. In contrast to Ruto-Rigathi, who right now can't escape the glare, of them both having been KANU henchmen, who did the dirty work for Mzee.
That fact would have been hidden under the 'rubble', if say the choices made for both running mates would have gone in different directions. It is a tough game of contrasts from now henceforth, my point lies in that fact, not in their individual characters.

I don't think it would be very easy for Raila and Karua to have a serious fall out, ideologically. They are both similar in that fashion, maybe in other spheres especially due to undue outside influences(outside their circles). My thoughts, anyway time will tell and all the best to whomever wins the race.

After deep calibration, deliberation, titration and meditation, I have decided to support the Rarua presidential ticket.
Having come from the same ward as Martha Karua (Kabare ward), i can say that she has proven to be a consistent and principled leader whose thoughts and ambitions are not easily swayed e.g. her stand on 'BBI & multiparty'
Martha holds true to her values and what she believes in. As a member of parliament Gichugu constituency, she ensured us residents had power, water, good roads and created employment opportunities.
It is my constitutional right to vote for my favorite candidate. View attachment 2241110
Hahahaha, you give your support much more to Karua who is a just running mate than to Raila who is the one will be the president in case they win, " That is the real meaning of Tribalism at its peak".

I am proud and love my tribe, culture and country, i don't care if people stigmatize that by calling it tribalism
