Siku Uhuru alipopiga kura privilege za uRais zinapunguzwa ikiwemo kufanya uteuzi lakini bado ni Rais.

Ruto alistahili kupewa briefing za usalama na nk lakini kesi ikishafunguliwa hilo jambo halifanyiki tena.

Stop embarrassing yourself! You know absolutely nothing about our constitution and the assumption of office of the president act. President elect WSR is entitled to briefing from security agencies and has the power to ask for information from any public officer and failure by any public officer to provide such information as requested for by the president elect within reasonable time, is liable to fine or jail term or both. There is nowhere in the constitution or assumption of office act that states the rights and privileges of President elect are suspended on account of a petition. Stop peddling lies and outright misinformation.

Huyo jamaa anapaswa kujua kwamba almost marais na presidential candidates wote wadogo kwa wakubwa (including Odinga mwenyewe) wamefika hapo kwa hisani ya Ruto kifedha ama kishawishi.

Odinga ni mwanasiasa mkongwe kuliko Ruto wa juzi. Odinga ndiye aliyesababisha mabadiliko ya Katiba ya nchi ya Kenya kwa ushawishi alionao.

Odinga ameanza siasa wakati huo Ruto bado anauza kuku.

Odinga ni mtu mashuhuri na mwenye ushawishi mkubwa Kenya kuliko hata Rais aliyepo madarakani.

Kenyatta ana kiwanda cha kuzalisha vipuri vya ndege ukiachilia biashara kubwa na uwekezaji mkubwa nje na ndani ya nchi.

Kupitia majibu ya Pingamizi aliyowasilisha, Rais Mteule amesema Mahakama Kuu haitakuwa na Mamlaka ya kumtangaza Odinga kuwa Rais hata baada ya kujumlisha Kura na kuthibitisha Matokeo kama ilivyoombwa.

Ameongeza kuwa maombi ya Odinga na mgombea mwenza wake Martha Karua ni kinyume cha Katiba na kwamba Kiongozi huyo wa Azimio amedhamiria kulazimisha ushindi ili wagawane Mamlaka.

Ruto amenukuliwa akisema “Ni Pingamizi potofu, wao wanadai kuwa hakuna mgombea aliyefikia 50% ya Kura na kwa vyovyote vile, Kifungu cha 80 (4) cha Sheria ya Uchaguzi kinaizuia Mahakama hii Tukufu kutoa uamuzi wa Malalamiko kwasababu waombaji walitenda makosa ya Uchaguzi,”.

President-elect William Ruto has told the Supreme Court that it has no powers to declare Azimio leader Raila Odinga the president-elect after tallying the votes and verifying the count as petitioned by his rival.

Mr Ruto says in a response filed yesterday that the prayer sought by Mr Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua on Monday is against the Constitution and Supreme Court rules.

The Kenya Kwanza coalition leader further says it is disingenuous for his main rivals in the August 9 presidential election to ask the court to declare them president-elect and deputy president-elect while claiming the election was not conducted as required by the Constitution and relevant election laws.

“It is disingenuous for the Petitioners to pursue the relief sought in the Petition while claiming that none of the candidates met the 50 per cent plus 1 threshold; and in any event, Section 80 (4) of the Elections Act precludes this Honourable Court from granting prayer (9) of the Petition to the extent that the Petitioners committed election offences,” he says in his court filings.

Mr Odinga has claimed that there is evidence of his votes being suppressed while those of Mr Ruto was increased to rig him out.

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati declared Mr Ruto the president-elect in an announcement that was preceded by a press conference addressed by four breakaway commissioners, including deputy Juliana Cherera.
