Ndio namchukulia poa Museveni. Hajawahi kukanyaga white house kwa zaidi ya miaka kumi. Uganda sio close ally wa US kama Kenya. Ijulikane Museveni hajakutana na Obama, Trump au Biden ilhali Uhuru amekutana na wote watatu.

Rais wa Marekani hapendi kuita madikteta kwenye white house isipokuwa kama ni madikteta wa nchi zenye mafuta. Lakini hawa madikteta wa kiafrika, hapana hawawezi kukanyaga white house. Museveni asahau kukanyaga white house.

We are negotiating an FTA with the US right now that we hope will help us benefit the same way Korea, Israel and Morocco have benefited.
We are ironing out issues like the DST issue and the worldwide corporate tax rate (which your country was not even asked its opinion about, but will have to comply, but Kenya, Nigeria ,Egypt ,Ghana and South Africa were aked. We have already bought our own 13 million J&J doses with our own money. We need an extra 10 million single dose J &J doses to vaccinate everyone in addition to the 7 million doses of Astrazeneca, Moderna, Pfizer and Sinopharm we already have (which are 2 dose ones that cover 3.5 million people) those extra 10 million will partially come from those vaccines donated to the AU.

When you hear a full grown man boasts of his ability to beg from other men, that is clear evidence that his head is wrongly wired. The comparison you are making with the likes of Israeli and Korea is wrongly placed, these are high tech countries that can export a lot of assortments to USA. May be Kenya is looking for fresh markets to sell ovarcadoes ( bought cheaply from Tanzania and branded as Kenyan product)and mutura.

You do realize Israel literally became a high tech nation from 1994 onwards. Prior to that, it was a semi-socialist nuclear armed nation just slightly more advanced than its Arab neighbors. It became a technology powerhouse AFTER it had an FTA with the US which allowed for the free flow of not only goods, but also technology which led to Tel Aviv becoming the Silicon Wadi that it is today.
The Korean- USFTA covers over $160 billion in goods and is one of the reasons Korean automobiles and electronics have thrived. The likes of Samsung get to access US technology and build on it. Korean automobile makers have factories in Kentucky and Tennessee that allow them to sell millions of cars to the American market.
For Kenya, the aim will be to yes, sell more avocadoes, just like Chile does and Chile is a high income nation, but to also attract the manufacturers being chased from China to set up shop in Kenya.
Also, because you clearly are ignorant of Kenya, Kenya has been trying to build its automobile sector in the past 5 years. AVA and KMA have expanded on Assembly. Tata, Toyota, Isuzu, Volkswagen have also expanded on local assembly. The aim is with time, to go down the same path as Morocco and South Africa, which shifted from Assembly to Manufacturing vehicles because of FTAs. Morocco is in fact the best example. It is now the largest automobile maker in Africa ,having overtaken South Africa this year which is specifically because it has duty free access to the European and American markets .

P.S. Google, Cisco Systems and the likes have their Africa HQ in Nairobi. All the rest from Microsoft, Visa, Mastercard, Uber, and other Silicon Valley companies have their regional HQs or Sub Saharan Hqs in Nairobi. The FTA will streamline the process of making them move to Kenya . That is why the DST issue is on the agenda.
Also, an FTA is not begging. Are you saying the EU, Mexico, Morocco, Korea, Israel, Singapore and Chile, who all have FTAs with the US are beggars?????
If it is the vaccine issue, fun fact, we want to open up completely as soon as possible and that will not be possible if most people are not vaccinated. We have made good progress by African standards but less than 10 percent of Kenyan adults are vaccinated which is not good .We need at least 70 percent and Biden can deliver that with all the vaccines that they have right now.
And technically speaking, Kenya is one of the few nations that has actually BOUGHT some of its vaccines. All our Johnson and Johnson vaccines were bought using our money. Unlike other nations.

Any serious president is less interested with white house, better to meet with investors than stupid Biden who has failed Afghanistan terribly.
