Talking about reducing more time for cargo to be cleared in Mombasa Port he is talking about reducing more time.., why should a container take a week from China to Mombasa and takes a month to clear in Mombasa so they are working at reducing time frame... He is asking basic question in this age of Internet why should someone in Kampala go all the way to Mombasa ?

In short although he is talking about East Africa in general but he is talking about making Kenya the Hub and welcoming to the neighbours...,

while our neighbors are running forward we are stepping backwards.., its a shame we need to know that this 10 years period we have wasted in terms of maendeleo will be very hard to catch up, we need to wake up

here in Tz we following it through our national tv TBC1.Please east africa leaders bring back our youth,no more use us for your interersts.
 
Question: You are borrowing money which our grandchildren will pay back what is the guarantee the jobs created will be for east africans (vijana watapa kazi na sio kunufaisha vijana wa nje)

Answer: we are the one giving work permits..., so we need to ensure we tight the loopholes, we have entered the contract that at least 80 percent should come from the region and all materials that can be procured locally must be procured from Kenya
 
Question: You are doing railway, roads IST, pipeline etc what kind of east africa do you see emerging and what kind of time frame and what kind of skills should youth be getting

Answer: Air travel is very expensive, road is pathetic so we are facilitating movement to be easier The day we have our citizen start to look for jobs inside and not abroad because of opportunity then we will know we have succeeded

Answer: Not really.., talking about Kenya our Debt is sustainable.., so long as its for infrastructure its investment well made, actually its investment delayed its should have been made 50 years ago
 
Question: How can we exploit our resources example oil and protect our economy
Answer: we have survived without these resources in the past, so they are not major issue for our survival.., we need to exploit them , so the big question is how do we utilized them to build other areas because our biggest asset is our people we need to use those resources to educate our people... this is what will sustain us.., we need to exploit our resources to diversify
 
We need to be sure we dont become a consumer society - Kenyatta..., extracting and eating for today

Answer: No.. there where some years I wasted but I get back on track
 
We need to get out of mentality to look at boundaries we did not create.., If we want to create kind of jobs we need to go out there and say we are talking about East Africa and not Kenya or Uganda..., if we all want to do small thing here and there we will both be doing small things.., we need to look at us as East Africans

Example now Kenya and Rwanda..,anyone in Kenya or Rwanda can apply a job in Kenya or Rwanda.., I hope you Uganda when you get your IDS will follow suit.. , We should be able to move from here and start your business in Nairobi, Kigali and open a chain of business (like MacDonald) we should facilitate and help you
 
Minerals are not the answer to our problems.., they are just facilitating.., we should look at manufacturing etc
