Modric's return to training is a great news for Real Madrid. If all goes well he could feature vs Villarreal or Athletic Club Bilbao.

Real Madrid continue their preparations for the match against Elche

at Ciudad Real Madrid (Valdebebas)

Coentrão completed the first part of the session with the group, before doing individual running on the training pitch.

Real Madrid continue to ready themselves for this Sunday's La Liga clash with Elche at the Estadio Martínez Valero (9pm CET). Modric trained with the group for the second day in a row, while Coentrão completed the first part of the session alongside his team-mates before moving on to do individual running on the training pitch. Ramos, James and Khedira continue with their recovery processes. Carvajal and Varane did work indoors at the club's facilities.

Ancelotti included the academy players Narváez, Enzo and Aguza in a work-out that began with two physical circuits. With Casillas, Keylor Navas and Pacheco undergoing specific goalkeeper training, two further circuits were then completed, this time with the emphasis placed on ball work. To conclude the session, a half-pitch match was played in which the objective was to score into mini goals placed on the field. Modric did not participate in the game, and carried out ball control and passing exercises.

Real Madrid finish preparations ahead of the Elche game

Carvajal and Varane returned to the group for the last session before the game at the Martínez Valero stadium.

All ready for the game against Elche. Real Madrid carried out their final training session ahead of Sunday's game (9pm CET) at the Martínez Valero. Carvajal and Varane, returned to the group after training at the indoor facilities on Friday. Carlo Ancelotti also had the reserve players Marcos Lavín and Febas out training.

For the second successive day, Coentrão completed the first part of the session with the group before working alone out on the pitch. Ramos, James and Khedira continue to recover.

The 20 players selected for the game against Elche

Real Madrid will play in the Martínez Valero stadium on matchday 24 of La Liga.

Carlo Ancelotti has selected 20 players for the game corresponding to matchday 24 of La Liga, that Real Madrid will play against Elche in the Martínez Valero stadium (Sunday 9pm CET).

REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Casillas, Keylor Navas and Pacheco.
Defenders: Pepe, Varane, Marcelo, Carvajal, Arbeloa, Nacho and Diego Llorente.
Midfielders: Kroos, Bale, Lucas Silva, Isco, Illarra and Medrán.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Chicharito and Jesé.

NEXT TRAINING SESSION:
