LA LIGA MATCH DAY 13

Full Time:
Malaga 1-2 Real Madrid

POST MATCH ANALYSIS

A very important away win against a 6th place Malaga side which looked to threaten Real Madrid several times through the entire course of the match. It was an open game because Malaga is a side which is very much capable of defeating the big guns of La Liga so instead of parking the bus they tried to go out against RMD throughout the match and scored a consolation goal in the stoppage time.

DEFENSE:

Carvajal was good today,he has come back from an injury recently so it was good to see him playing and making those overlapping runs with Bale.Marcelo was good as usual with his crossing n trickeries. Ramos and Pepe were solid at the back too and our defense kept Malaga out most of the time. Casillas made some good saves but he dropped the ball many times, mainly because of the wet conditions. And we were lucky to not concede on the rebounds.

MIDFIELD:

Today our midfield comprised of James,Kroos and Isco.No team in the world has such a midfield, all 3 of Kroos,Isco n James are natural number 10s i.e playmakers. Isco was sent off in the 85th minute after being shown a second yellow, his second yellow was a bit arguable though.

ATTACK:

Real Madrid started very well and created many chances throughout the game and could have scored at least 4 in the first half only if there would have been a little bit better finishing from our players or if the referee or his assistants had spotted two shirt pulling incidents in the box on Ronaldo and Ramos. There keeper was exceptional tonight. Benzema is paying Ancelotti back for his faith in the Frenchman. To be honest,Bale was BAD tonight,he missed at least 3 good chances to score/assist a certain goal. But at the end he finished off a great headed assist by Ronaldo to put Real Madrid up 2 goals to none. Ronaldo's goal scoring run in La Liga ended tonight but on the brighter note,Ronaldo assisted both of Real's goals tonight. Our winning streak continues and Real Madrid has improved its own record of 15 consecutive wins and Ancelotti has broken Mou's record.

3 very important points in the bag,
We stay on top of the table.

#HalaMadrid!

Sergio Ramos: "Let's keep working...!! "
Gareth Bale: "Felt great to score, not everyday I get one with the right foot! Very happy to get the victory and a new record of 16 consecutive wins MRAncelotti @sr4oficial #halamadrid"

[h=1]Casillas: "We knew it would be difficult to achieve the record but we've done it"[/h]

"Madrid is always at its best towards the tailend of the season. If there are not good results at the end and we don't get through the final challenges it will all be for nothing. We have a great manager, we've brought in reinforcements and, at the end of the day, with patience and calmness we are reaping the benefits. Everything is going to plan."

Keylor Navas?
"He is a good team-mate and a good professional. The manager makes the decision as to who plays and that's fine by me. He trains well. There's also Pacheco, who is a young lad and we're all behind him."

Xabi Alonso?
"Xabi Alonso's statements don't interest me. What I am interested in is the fact that he is a great player and a great professional."

Marcelo: "We fought hard to win here"

10806472_844085315644354_2226760198515066612_n.jpg

"We have achieved a record that really shows the work we've been putting in over a long time, as well as the strength and effort of the whole team. But our objective is to win every match with humility, grit and determination."

"It was a tough game; it is always difficult to win here. There are days when the ball won't go in and everything seems more difficult, but we fought hard and worked our socks off to win today. A match can get complicated in the space of three minutes because the opponents can score so we had to concentrate from the first minute until the final whistle."

The team's fitness?
"We are not tired. I feel fine and I think the rest of the team does as well. It's obvious that when you play a lot of matches we become increasingly more tired, but the dedication of all the players is spectacular."

Ballon d'Or?
"That's not something we talk about. We only talk about it when you ask us. Cristiano has to win the Ballon d'Or and certain people shouldn't make their opinion known."

Ancelotti: "The key to record is that I am fortunate enough to train a fantastic team"

"I have a deep admiration for these players", he added

"I am slightly surprised with some of the players' attitude towards their defensive duties, for example James, Isco, and Bale..The team is compact and work hard. As I have said a number of times, defending is simply a question of attitude. We have to keep working. The past is the past and we have to look forward. We are in a lot of competitions and we want to compete in them all".

Benzema and Isco's sending off?
"Benzema took a knock to the leg and was in a bit of discomfort. That is why I took him off. I think they will rescind Isco's card because he clearly touched the ball. There is a lot of love for Isco here, but at the movement he is loved all over Spain and he deserves it".

"What Cristiano Ronaldo did today is quite strange because he always scores and today he provided two assists. He played fantastically and had a key role in this historic victory".

The club statement?
"Cristiano Ronaldo didn't need it, but the club needed to clarify everybody's position, especially that of the UEFA president".

Málaga?
"They fought hard. They defended well and played long balls into Santa Cruz. They are a young team, with a lot of quality and a bright future".

Jesé and his possible debut on Tuesday?
"We are assessing the situation. It depends whether he feels comfortable. In training he has shown that he can play. He may not start, however I might give him a run out or he might need another week. It depends how he gets on over the next few days".

Cristiano Ronaldo, 200 victories with Real Madrid

Satellite

138 of the victories have been La Liga matches.

With the win in Malaga, Cristiano Ronaldo now has 200 wins as a Real Madrid player. Following his Madrid debut in the 2009-10 season, the forward had his most prolific winning season in the 11-12 season with 43 wins. He came very close to that number in 10-11 (with 42). Last season is behind that with 36 wins, and then comes 12-13 with two fewer victories.

In his debut season he notched up 28 victories and so far this campaign he has scored 17. La Liga is the competition in which the Portuguese player has achieved the most wins. In addition to the 138 La Liga victories he has 41 wins in the Champions League, 19 in the Copa del Rey, one in the European Super Cup and another in the Spanish Super Cup.

Across all competition
Therefore, Ronaldo has victories in the five competitions he has played in as a Madrid player. On the 16 December in Rabat, he will have the opportunity to play in the only tournament he has yet to contest as a Madrid player: the Club World Cup.

Ramos: "It is an historic night"
"It really is an important day, an historic night. It is a day to congratulate Ancelotti and the whole squad. Now we want to keep on taking three points from every three available.

"It was a special day for Isco. The ovation he was given was a lovely gesture; that kind of personal and professional recognition always means a lot. It reminds me of when I return home."
