Perez also wants Iker to stay. Now its upto player to come up with a decision. But it looks like Iker also wants to stay.

Real Madrid today told Iker Casillas that he will continue at the club for next season. The Madrid captain has two years to run on his contract. However, the decision will not have an impact on a deal to bring David De Gea to the club. De Gea is out of contract in 2016 and Madrid want to sign him this summer.

Despite the fact that Iker will start in the last match of the season at the Santiago Bernabéu it was seen as a possible farewell to the supporters. Casillas held a meeting on Tuesday with president Florentino Perez and received confirmation that he will continue for next season at least.

Casillas has reiterated his desire to see out his contract at the club through all of his public statements in recent months. The club captain turns 34 on Wednesday and has two years left on his contract: earning €7.5 million next season and €7 for the 2016-17 campaign.

We must join those who strive for excellence. That is why we have Microsoft as a partner and the new ‘app’ for mobile applications.”


The president spoke of his pride in the continued growth of the club. “With this ‘app’ brings a common place for all Madrid fans. It will connect all the Madrid fans spread across the world. There will be a unique content. We are in a new digital era and this step will allow us to reduce the distance between Madrid fans with just a few clicks. It will be in Spanish and English and it will spread to other mobile devices. It is a free ‘app’ and will allow Madrid fans to enjoy every event. It is designed for lovers of football and basketball. It is a great audiovisual stage and it will be have specific Real Madrid TV cameras with exclusive images.”

The new Real Madrid App saw the light at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.


Florentino Pérez was the master of ceremonies accompanied by Microsoft's Corporate Vice-President and Chairman of Emerging Markets, Orlando Ayala.


The innovative new app allows users around the world to share their passion for Real Madrid, have access to exclusive material, watch live games, enjoy the team's best moments, and even randomly select a match played by Carlo Ancelotti's men irrespective of where they might be in the world.


Users can connect with the world of Real Madrid from any device, submit live audio content from games played at the Santiago Bernabéu, choose a camera to view the action and even check out the stats of every player in the squad.


Fans can chat and exchange opinions with other users helping them become veritable experts on all things Real Madrid, and all this free of charge. They will also have the chance to observe the players on the bench and gain access to the dressing room during any live match, to make the user feel they are one of the team.

Pamoja na Perez kuzingua mambo mengi, but he is the best President we ever had, next to Santiago Bernabeu IMO. Na sioni nani wa kumpokea at the moment.

Real Madrid complete second training session of the week

Real Madrid continued preparations for the last La Liga game, that will be played this Saturday against Getafe at the Santiago Bernabéu (8.30pm CET). Ancelotti focused on ball work in a training session where Modric, Khedira, Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema worked at the indoor facilities.

There was applause for Casillas on his birthday at the start of a session that began with different one and two touch exercises in circles, with the goalkeepers also participating. The Whites then played an intense half-pitch game and finished the session with circuits involving crosses and shots on goal.

Thinking we paid 10m for Navas, who is the LFP's best GK. We compensated Diego Lopez, sijui hata kiasi gani. And now we'll have to compensate Navas. Hahaha Real Madrid is special.

But i'm glad we'll keep Iker, even as a sub.
