Historia. Jaramogi Oginga Odinga kipindi Kenya inapigania uhuru alikataa kuwa rais na Kenya kuwa huru mpaka Jomo Kenyatta aliyekuwa jela wakati huo kuachiliwa huru.

Wakati huo Jaramogi ndiye alikuwa anaongoza mapambano dhidi ya ukoloni, Kenyatta alipoachiwa huru, Oginga alisema yeye (Kenyatta) ndiyo apewe urais naye Oginga awe makamu.

Baadae walifarakanishwa na mataifa ya nje hususani UK na Marekani, Oginga akajiuzulu umakamu na kuanzisha upinzani. Hata hivyo waliendelea kuwa marafiki.

Raila na Uhuru ni watoto wa Jaramogi na Kenyatta, hizi familia mbili ni marafiki toka enzi hizi.

Ruto alituhumiwa kuchochea mauaji ya Wakikuyu kule Rift Valley mwaka 2007/08. Kenyatta mkubwa alipokuwa rais, alinyakua ardhi kubwa ya wakalenjin huko bonde la ufa na kuwahamishia wakikuyu huko. Hii ni sehemu ya risk inayofanya wakikuyu wawe na hofu kubwa ya uraia wa Ruto coz amewahi kunukuliwa huko akisema ardhi hiyo inabidi irejee kwa wenyewe.

Juzi walipokuwa katika kampeni kuna senator mmoja Mithika Linturi alisema madoadoa (akimaanisha wakikuyu) inabidi yatolewe bonde la ufa. Alikamatwa na kushitakiwa kwa uchochezi.

Ruto pia anatuhumiwa kwa ufisadi mkubwa na ukwapuaji wa ardhi usiomithilika.

Ruto is carrying two heavy loads in his shoulder with the hope that they will help him. Sadly, these two guys Mudavadi and Weta won't help Ruto in anyway in delivering western vote to him. Sadly, he (Ruto) knows this but there's nothing he can do about it.

Raila has always won many votes in Western province with or without Mudavadi's support and this won't change even in this coming election. Raila won in Western in both 2013 and 2017 and he will still win it this year. Mudavadi beat Raila only in his (Mudavadi's) native Vihiga county by a margin of not more than 20k votes. Raila won in all the remaining counties in western.

Lastly, Martha is heading to Azimio together with Kalonzo and Gideon if the latest political undertones are anything to go by. The big day will be 26th this month. Mark your calender. The only guy who was playing hardball and derailing their journey to Azimio was Jimmy Wanjigi but if you are a keen political analyst, you'll realize that he has been elbowed out. Wanjigi has been missing in recent political activities of OKA, something that has now paved way for OKA's journey to Azimio and made it even simple.

If Kalonzo joins Azimio, then it's game over for Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza brigade. You can take this to any bank

No offense but you are a poor political analyst. At least ungeongea about Mudavadi but not Wetangula. That guy is a nonstarter in Bukusu politics and Kenyan politics at large. Not at the rate in which his party Ford-Kenya has remained a shell following a wave defections after the so-called earthquake that didn't even have an epicenter. I don't think if Ford-Kenya has any elected member of parliament remaining in the current parliament. They've all found a home in DAP-K which, by the way, is the party to watch in Bungoma and Trans-Nzoia counties right now.

How do you imply that he controls 90% of Bukusu votes yet the party that he leads has suffered a wave of defections in the last one month alone? Politicians don't just defect for the sake of it. They "listen" to the "ground" and chart their political journey going forward. If the ground is not receptive to their current political party, they jump ship and that's what's happening to Wetangula and his party. I really doubt if this guy will even retain his Bungoma senate seat. Time will tell though
