Students Loan
Those intending to finance their studies through student loans should be aware that the Government has set
priority programmes for which applicants can expect to get loans. The Guidebook indicates the priority and
non-priority programmes and possible loan amount for priority programmes in order to help applicants prepare
themselves in finding alternative sources of financing their studies.
Note: For all Arts Education based programmes the loan will be considered based on those with at least
4.0 points in their A-Level grades based on the old grading system.
Applicants are advised to carefully go through the criteria for one to qualify for student loans as spelt out by the
Higher Education Students Loans Board before selecting programmes and submitting their applications. This
information can be obtained from the Boards website
Higher Education Students' Loans Board. Students should also pursue other
financing options rather than relying wholly on the HESLB.
