Serikali ya Kenya kuuza Makampuni 26 ya kiserikali ili kufidia sehemu ya Bajeti na kutekeleza miradi

Mimi naona ni makosa kubinafsisha port, pipeline na state bank pekee. Hizo zingine ni takataka na hazifanyi kazi. Zinatengeneza loss tu. Hapo kwenye list wamefanya upuzi wa hali ya juu kujumuisha kampuni muhimu kwa afya ya uchumi kwa mfano Kenya Port Authority, National Bank of Kenya na Kenya pipeline. Hizo zingine zilozosalia wanaeza uza kwa sababu yanatengeneza loss na pia sio muhimu kama zile ambazo nimezitaja hapo juu. Wangeita public participation sisi raia pia tutoe maoni, tusije tukalia hapo mbeleni
Kumbuka hata hayo unayosema ni takataka yanatengeneza hasa, mwanzo yalikua yanatengeneza faida kama ambavyo KPA inavyotengeneza faida sasa hivi, ila uendeshaji mbaya, rushwa, nepotism vilisababisha hayo mashirika kuanza kutengeneza hasara.

Msiposhughulika na hayo matatizo, Kenya haitobaki salama, matatizo hayo hayo yataitafuna CBK, KPA na pipeline. Tanzania tulitumia muda mrefu sana kujenga msingi imara wa uchumi endelevu kwa kupambana na ukabila, ubinafsi, nepotism, na uchu wa kujilimbikizia Mali miongoni mwa wanasiasa na viongozi wa nchi. Baada ya kujiridhisha kwamba angalau jamii imeanza kuelewa na kuwa wazalendo, ndio tukafungua milango ya uchumi huria.
 
They should not privatise National Bank of Kenya, Kenya pipeline and Kenya Ports Authority. These are important security assets for our economy. They are the foundation of our economy.

I think they should. National Bank is already on its deathbed.
Kenya Pipeline and KPA should be operated like profit minting machines. This can improve efficiency ten fold. Corruption will reduce 100-fold. Government cannot manage this.

I always remind people that Rockefeller built the first pipelines in the US, and the likes of Vanderbilt the first rails.
The moment such infrastructure is treated like a for-profit enterprise, things start moving.
Government can collect tax, but it has no capacity to run businesses profitably.
