The Mai Mahiu SGR Railway station is almost complete. The orange and white colors are meant to represent the color of rocks found along the Rift Valley region and the vertical lines represent the cracks and the fault lines present on the surface of the Rift Valley #SGRProgress #2AisComing

#EngineeringAesthetics Self-supporting formwork that is moved using hydraulically driven carriages, used in the construction and shaping of the Nairobi-Naivasha SGR tunnels.
During the tunnel construction, we used the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM) of drilling and blasting. This is the first time such a method has been used on such a large scale in Kenya. The tunneling method is economical, efficient, and has strong adaptability for different geological and groundwater conditions. It also controls surface collapse effectively and enhances the working environment during construction. 💪😃

Ujenzi unaendelea, siumeona hiyo station ya Mai Mahiu, au umedhani ni render? Uzinduzi ulikuwa ile siku ya kwanza ujenzi wa SGR ulipoanza. Wabeba mkasi wa kuzindua zindua mradi mmoja zaidi ya mara kumi a.k.a washamba hawapo Kenya.
