The Kenyan SGR can be adopted to use a gas. It's more efficient to produce electricity using a gas than diesel. We can negotiate to pipe it to Kenya.

Yani kwa kifupi hilo diesel engine ni kama a mini-powerplant, unaweza hata ukalitumia kufulia umeme ukawasha ka-kijiji kazima watu wakapiga na pasi na kupika...🙂

On the other hand, electric one inatumia umeme uliokwisha zalishwa sehemu nyingine na ktk mazingira yetu a three phase powerline ya 25 KVA (hii ni kama 20 kW tu) inatutosha sana kuendesha SGR yetu so kwa wale wanaodhani kuwa umeme litakua tatizo wasahau kabisa...

Na kumbuka hata kama umeme wa Tanesco utakatika TRC yenye inaweza kuwa na backup power plants ktk several intervals along the SGR line. Generator ya three phase 25 KVA inauzwa chini ya USD 2000 (i.e., check brands like Perkins) na zinaweza kuwa converted na zikawa zinatumia gesi yetu ya bure ya Mtwara sio diesel.

KWELI tumejipanga. WHAT am happy with is a minimum cost of operating it, especially energy. Kudos my country.

That's great. The overhead electric cable is more safe, as no one can reach it. But using the electric rail could be of a very big danger as one can reach it easily. It is suitable for subways which their rail cannot be reached easily by passers by.

Hiyo ni matokeo ya kutawaliwa sana wanakuwa wajinga,kwa jinsi walivyo weusi na vichwa vinavyofanana kama korosho na kiingereza cha kuungaunga wanajiona wazungu wenyewe,utumwa ni mbaya sana.

Overhead cable are for ELECTRICITY which is used to produce ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD which turns the wheel hence the train moves.
Diesel engine is used as an ELECTRIC GENERATOR to generate ELECTRICITY which is used to produce ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD which in turn TURNS/spins the wheels.
