SGR Ethiopia one and a half years later.

Acha porojo miingi hakuna nchi inayojitambua ikajenga rail ili ije kutumia diesel trains siku za leo..hiyo ni total failure!!

Follow the instances on Ethiopian SGR closely in the next five years.....

Tanzania looks forward to having enough power from the ongoing Dam construction which is a good forward thinking.

Is the commissioning of this SGR going to wait till the completion of the Dam or is it going to use Generators as it does now to run the SGR.

One should understand that having enough power is one thing, but having it stable is another.

That means, even if Tanzania starts producing excess power, it also has to do redundancy. duplicating high voltage lines across a large country like TZ is no joke.

In simple, for SGR Tanzania and SGR Ethiopia to work efficiently, a lot more work and expenses away from the real project has to be done.

THIS EVENTUALLY MAKES THE TWO PROJECTS TERRIBLY UNECONOMICAL AND EXPENSIVE.

NYANGAUS WE THINK AND EXECUTE. IN BONGO THEY COPY AND PASTE WITH BELOW 1% OF THEIR .......... πŸ‘³β€

I can tell you bro.
Mode of trains depends on just many factors.
Like,
1.
What is the intended purpose??
Kenya's SGR was meant purposely for Cargo. Then create industrial parks at the tail ends of the railway. Like what we are having at Dongo Kundu Mombasa and Naivasha. You really do not need a bullet train to transport cargo, do you? As this parks grow and new economic zones sprout, there will be people who want to travel between cities faster. The middle income and heavy pockets can be able to pay for expensive tickets on the bullet trains to cover cost of construction.
You don't built a bullet train to carry, Wanyama's and Wafula's going for christmas in Ushago and coming back to Nairobi filling the bullet trains with chicken
2.
Power.
Kenya has been working on stable power since 2015. Construction of high voltage power lines and substations is ongoing across the country and by 2022, Kenya will have stable power with minimal or no power black outs at all. Then we can now electrify our SGR.

Ethiopia,s SGR gets stuck on the rails for over 8hrs twice a week due to this, what of Tanzania, it could be worse.

Sorry for the long literature, let me cut is short.

Wabongo wooote wajanja hakuna mtz anayeweza kufurahia moshi trains..what a shock of the centuryπŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡
