Do you want to learn about the top African hospitals? What would we do if we didn't have health-care services available to us? Many observers believe that the quality of a country's hospital facilities reflects the country's entire healthcare system, and we couldn't agree more.

Pandemics with regional or global reach, such as Avian Influenza, Ebola, and, most recently, the Novel Coronavirus, have lately exposed global healthcare standards. A strong healthcare system should have enough professionals and support staff to handle crises and reduce casualties, in addition to suitable facilities and equipment.

However, the state of medical facilities in countries all over the world, particularly in Africa, has come under scrutiny in recent years.

The evidence also disproves critics' claims that Africa's healthcare system is in shambles. Many critics and observers were quite aback by how well the continent handled the Ebola catastrophe and is now dealing with the spread of Covid-19. Many analysts believe that the latter's management has stunned the world.

But which African hospitals have the best technology and facilities?
The Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR), a Spanish research group that has been creating international rankings of global research institutions since 2009, provides the answer.

The medical research organization has published its 2021 Global Hospital Rankings. According to the SIR, the outcomes were based on research output, innovation, and overall social benefit.
The following is a list of the top 6 African hospitals:

6. Egyptian National Cancer Institute, Egypt
