JPM must be careful with his style of managing because when things starts to go wrong all his subordinates will lay the blame on him since he is the only one calling all the shots, he should trust the people he appointed to do the job if he cant trust them then he is doomed

With his ruling style, he will take all the credit as well all the blame, depending on the outcomes of government decisions.

Things have already gone wrong. Look at the situation we are in right now, and it keeps getting worse. Judging by the way Magu has handled things to date, i doubt he'll back down even when everyone turns against him. People think of him as omniscient, he'll definitely keep on pushing, after all he started the whole "Hapa kazi tu". Majority of Tanzanians are uneducated thats the real problem.

I agree with some of your comments. He has explicitly shown how serious his government is especially on issues related to corruption and accountability. It has always been claimed that JPM has good intention of helping a common "mwananchi" in everything that the government does, but why do we see things contrary to our expectations? Let be honest here, having good intention is necessary but not sufficient to help the common mwananchi. One needs to strategically apply appropriate tools to realise the intended outcome. How do you claim to help the mwananchi while you actions, words, policies and measures increase price of sugar, reduce freedom of speech, make financial transaction really expensive and a lot more of the same colour?

Come on structuralist, the sukari saga is an outcome of the previous regime, this regime is setting things right cant you see it is trying to resolve the issue by upgrading sugar production in the former sugar factories and even building a new one in Kigoma. Freedom of speech is not reduced, we need to ask ourselves questions like, is American and European democracy relevant to our context??!!. We should ask ourselves these questions baring in mind our history, politics, economy and social life. Freedom of speech has limitations. The country needs strong people to build strong institutions. Lets be patriotic this is not time to condemn we need to hurry things cant you see we are so late. The financial transactions do not affect the public it is the banks and network companie's responsibility. The government takes 18% of what the banks and network companies considered to be their profit when a user does a transaction. This is a win win situation. Lets open our eyes, lets be patient, lets be proud of our country. Rome was not built in one day. I have hopes of a better Tanzania in the coming days

Better Tanzania won't come overnight, it takes time to get there. But, no matter what, still we can do something for the coming generations. I hope they will be proud of us. I think that, as a nation, we have to change our mindsets, work together towards our goals. Otherwise we will keep on blaming each other or blame leaders as they are the root causal of these failures we face and then forget the responsibility we have for our nation. As I see, the major problems in our society are the lack of patriotism, responsibility and accountability. Unfortunately, we are the nation whose people never look at their history, we don't learn and feel proud of the founders of this nation for the great job they did to this country. The foundation of this country was certainly built on principles of respect and unity, which we should be proud of. But , tend turn our backs and think there is no history we can learn. This is where we got lost, this is the reason we are looking for who took us here, instead of thinking actions to take to solve the problems, since we know that we are already lost.
I think we need a rescue boat before the ship sinks and if appropriate actions won't be taken at ample time, I'm not sure whether we gonna get to our final destination. However, I hope that, we have got the Captain who aims to alter the course and turn our ship to the right course which our founder fathers of this nation aimed at.
So, it is our responsibility to support him if we really believe that he is the guy who can take us to the final destination we all dream.

I think in the eyes of many he seems to be doing ok but in real economical view, the country is experiencing the most difficult time. He seems to be increasing revenue but in reak sense revenue has gone down.

Mkuu, on my opinion everything else is agree-able but I think am missing a point on red. What kind of support do you mean?
This can be successful only if, the guy is supportable to begin with.
The way he's perceived by others and his leadership style correspond to someone who's less open to liberal ideas, which I don't think is the best thing especially for our young nation.(..stand to be corrected)
People might want to suggest something that can support him in one way or the other but what if, that suggestion comes in a form of criticism, a different opinion or point of view from his, will he be open to it? Cos at least his public persona don't say so.
He has placed himself in a bubble that makes it hard for people to reach out to him.

That is one of his weaknesses. I think he lacks an ability to withstand challenges. Being too emotional is another failure of him. Nevertheless, I think he aims to bring accountability and responsibility in our society. To establish a society whose people are responsibility to fulfill the dream of new Tanzania we all hope for. That is my opinion (and I stand to be corrected). Try to look back 6-8 years ago, we lived in a rotten society with full of crimes, corruption in its fully both in public and private sectors. Our nation was like a corruption haven, nobody cared (it is sad). I think we have problems on how we get our leaders. Otherwise we couldn't have these kind of leader with this craziness of selfishness and greedy in its totality. And I think, this is where we messed up. Lack of a strong institution to set forth principles and guidelines on how we get serious and committed leaders, is another problem we face as a nation.
