Ukraine promised that from tomorrow the situation would change and humanitarian corridors would start working. The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, after the talks, expressed the hope that Kyiv would keep its word:
“When people's lives are at stake, the life of a child, a woman, a girl or a boy, it is not a question of "morality" or "immorality" ... or politicians. This is a matter of life.
We try our best to do it [to help them get out]. We do everything we can for this. We have prepared buses. We observe the ceasefire every day. We keep these humanitarian corridors open.”
