"The United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania and Italy will provide Ukraine with the equipment for five additional strategic air defense systems. In the coming months, the United States and our partners intend to provide Ukraine with dozens of additional tactical air defense systems."
Moreover, Biden said that Ukraine will receive hundreds of additional missile interceptors over the next year.
The White House in a separate press release noted that the five additional strategic air defense systems include new Patriot batteries donated by the United States, Germany, and Romania; Patriot components donated by the Netherlands and other partners to enable the operation of an additional Patriot battery; and an additional SAMP-T system donated by Italy.

The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) has released footage showing the country’s armed forces targeting and successfully hitting two Patriot surface-to-air missile systems in Ukraine’s Odessa region.
“The Iskander-M operational and tactical missile complex struck the position of Ukraine’s battery of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex near the settlement Yuzhnoye in the Odessa region. The strike destroyed two Patriot launchers and a Giraffe radar station,” the ministry specified.
The Iskander-M system provides a high level of flexibility, capable of targeting both stationary and mobile objectives, including fortified positions and infrastructure. Equipped with precision-guided munitions, it effectively reduces collateral damage while optimizing the battlefield impact.

He called upon all members of the alliance to support Ukraine more intensively, but made no mention of prospects for Kiev’s membership in the alliance.

WASHINGTON, July 10. The Ukrainian conflict has exposed major problems in combat readiness and interoperability of NATO forces, which the alliance needs to fix promptly, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.
"The realities of the war in Ukraine have demonstrated not only that the stocks have been too small and that the production capacity has been too little, but has also demonstrated serious gaps in our interoperability," he said during a defense industry forum, held on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington.
"The best known example is the Dutch-German brigade, where the whole idea is that this brigade should be able to operate together, but the reality is that the 155[mm] standard ammunition, which the Dutch have, cannot be used in German howitzers and vice versa. And that’s the opposite of interoperability," he added.

According to the report, US defense companies and the Pentagon admit that they were overly optimistic about how quickly they can increase production of weapons for Kiev.
For example, due to supply-chain interruptions and labor shortages, it would take four years to double the production of US-made Javelin anti-tank guided missiles, which is twice as long as was initially planned.
WSJ also reported some funding issues and "bureaucratic barriers."
The NATO summit will be held in Washington on July 9-11 to mark the 75th anniversary of the signing of the North Atlantic Treaty in 1949.
