LIVE Special Thread: Yanayojiri Mgogoro wa Ukraine na Urusi. Nini chanzo na hatma ya mzozo?

Live coverage on JamiiForums
'We are moving to a polyphonic world rather than a polycentric world, a world in which all the voices have to be heard and, what's most important, listened to, and those who have grown accustomed to playing solo and who want to communicate with each other,' Putin said.

"The policy of the US and their allies in the past years is more and more prominent through the principle, if I can't have it, no one will. If you are not with us, you are against us. Well, this formula is very dangerous," Putin said.

Putin remarked that democracy is increasingly being interpreted as the rule of the minority, not the majority. He criticized Western liberalism, saying it has led to extreme intolerance and aggression, and warned that we are approaching a dangerous threshold.

Calls to defeat Russia reflect the reckless adventurism of certain politicians, Putin added, cautioning that the West's blind belief in its own impunity could lead to tragedy. He also raised concerns, noting that there is no guarantee nuclear weapons will not be used by the West.

⚡Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico:

I want to respond to the outrageous statement by the British Ambassador to Slovakia, Mr Baker, who criticized me for my appearance on Russian television.

You should be more concerned about the quality of Western media coverage of the war in Ukraine. And you will see that it is often just crude propaganda defending the unfounded.

I ask you to refrain from such coverage, unjustifiably interfering in the policy of the sovereign Slovak government.

Analysis: Ukraine has the most to lose as rivals and allies prepare for Trump's return

The ally with most to fear is Ukraine. Both Trump and his vice president-elect JD Vance have talked of bringing the war there to an end on what sounds like Moscow's terms.

Russia would be allowed to keep much of the territory it has taken by brute force, Ukraine's membership of NATO postponed for decades.
