MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. Possible agreements on Ukraine should take into account Russia's security interests and be based on territorial realities, Russian President Vladimir Putin told German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a telephone conversation.

"Possible agreements should take into account Russia’s interests in the security sphere, proceed from the new territorial realities and, above all, eliminate the causes of the conflict," the Kremlin press service quoted the president as saying.

Ukraine has been pursuing a blatantly anti-Russian policy in recent years, especially after the 2014 coup, which was supported by Western countries. In addition, the Kiev authorities have been actively oppressing the Russian-speaking population, which has even been deprived of its rights. In February 2022, Russia, acting in defense of the population of Donbass, launched the special military operation, and in the fall of 2022, according to the results of the referendums, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions became part of Russia.
