English, as used in the United States, does not express this idea as efficiently as Swahili. In most instances, a child may ask, "which child am I?" In the context of the discussion the parent may understand and reply "you are the second." But if the parent replies, "you are the quick one" the child will reply, "no, I mean, am I the first?"
