Reading between the line you look like a guy who is deeply hurt by the way our leaders are handling the issue of EAC.

I can go as far as think/believe that you are the insider in this issue(someone who knows what is going on).

Hence,my conclusion is that our leaders are short sighted, they have been able to rule us so peacefully and able to accumulate their riches without much resistance from the mass.Stupid as they are though to believe that creating such a mammoth distraction like joining 4 other countries will prove benefit to the sovereign of Tanzania as a state.

Africans uniting does not mean the same success as EU uniting.THEY have very advanced institutions.who knows how to protect their borders.their nations dates back thousands of years as opposed to our short 100+ years.

Even Europeans BUILT their institutions first before they could unite.WHY?to preserve their identity and sovereignty.EAC now is more like Europe in 13 century.we are a very volatile region with mountains of problems, what makes us think sharing our problems will solve them?

Singularity can sometime be good,ASIA is a good example,we didn't have talks of CHINA uniting with Japan 300 years ago so that they could compete in INDUSTRIAL revolution.they are both prosperous nation economically as we discuss yet they took a different path as EU.

WITO,kushare umasikini wetu sio solution ya kuumaliza,i can imagine in 2020 CCM leaders complaining the reason we are still poor is because of EAC.and wananchi happily saying Ndio MZEE.

Kimweri,

It is maddening the way to see handing-in of our country on golden platter... kama mbwa ajipelekavyo kwenye mdomo wa chatu -- amefyata mkia!

Akaniambia: "Why do you think we introduced EAC?" sikuwa na jibu la mara moja. "We are going to take your land, you dumb fools!"

It arose my interest on EAC.

Reading the EAC documents, confirmed what yule rafiki Mkenya alivyosema.

So, I went on personal mission to try to stop Tanzania being dissolved. I went to offices, talk to a few officers who were willing to listen, went to TV stations, wrote in newspapers, wrote a letter to President Kikwete -- which looked like it reached him -- for I received a reply purporting to come from him... but nothing stopped what is clearly treason against United Republic of Tanzania. To preserve efforts to alleviate Tanzania from the impending EAC doom for future generations to read, I have published a book called [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Tanzania-Swahili-Mlenge-Fanuel-Mgendi/dp/1448668425/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265698155&sr=8-3"]Tanzania[/ame]. Am contemplating on writing how Tanzania ilivyosambaratishwa, again, for future generations to really understand what was going on, and people who used to live in Tanzania.

Imagine when you see Ikulu, Baraza la Mawaziri, Bunge, vyombo vya ulinzi na usalama, wanasiasa, wakifanya horrendous blunder ambayo it is impossible to undo madhara, and you are helpless to stop it! Kwa vile tu hujapewa 'jembe nyundo ung'oeng'oe!'

Mlenge,
Wana upofu wa rohoni kwani "they don't feel guilty" of what they are doing to fellow Tanzanians and especially the coming generations. But what I have come to learn from our rulers as I have no confidence of saying rulers, it the fact that they think they are only the Tanzanians and they deserve the best. Think of the government houses which were sold to all who were in power before elections in 2005, and all of a sudden, when JK elected and formed the new parliament, there is no houses for the new ministers, so a crush programme they started to clear some of the open spaces near sea cliff building some house on a rush basis. They also located some places in Mikocheni and did the same. The question is: didn't they knew that other leaders will come before they accepted that ill motion from the so called radical ruler "Magufuli"? who also went on putting the country into very big dept of paying for damages for works not done by breaching the road constructions agreements with contractors unlawfully. It is the same Magufuli who just put us in another unnecessary cost of storing the fish. Anyone thinking of poor Tanzania should know the storage of goods like fish is very expensive (always storing of perishable is damly expensive). he should have sought for subject matter experts and I know he would have been told let the court see the fish and all involved parties and lawyers taken photographs of them and court can use it as evidence and then fish been disposed off immediately either to the public free or by selling at a small cost which Tanzanians can afford. There are a lot of execution decisions taken and if you look into them, you can't imagine that it was done by someone who loves his people. We have seen a lot in the past but there is still a lot to come. God be by our side, and God will give us a good leaders and not a rulers for this lovely Tanzania and Tanzanians. Roho inauma!!!!

Mlenge,

The price of your book on Amazon appears to be $2,340. Is this the price for the book alone or does it come with an e-reader, CDs, laptop ... 🙂

Just kidding. If you can maybe find a way to correct the currency to TShs, as that is what I believe the price is. Otherwise, good job, too bad your message will reach the right ears too late. We are too far gone selling ourselves off

Nanu,

Hakuna ufisadi unaozidi Tanzania kuwemo kwenye 'soko la pamoja' la hiyo EAC. Nchi hii walikuja Wareno, Waarabu, Wajeremani, Wangereza na whoever cared to take out our resources, hawajamaliza for centuries! So let's not waste our energies on petty 'ufisadi' and politics. Let's combine our breaths to make sure Tanzania remains intact. At certain time we shall get the leaders who are capable of running (not ruining) the country. But we need to still have OUR own country for that to happen. And we won't have our own country unless we immediately pull out of EAC. That requires, to borrow words from Jenerali Ulimwengu, a government with backbone.

Injinia, the book is meant just to be an archive of history. The price is just for the book. It is on purpose not to have it read now, or by masses. Almost all of the stuff in the book had been published before in one form or another.

Mlenge, I understand. I have an issue with the price, though. Go to amazon.com and you will see the price quoted is $2340 (two thousand three hundred and forty US dollars)!!

Injinia,

The price is there on purpose! I don't want it to be read by now. Future generations will find it a must read. Watataka wajue iwapo tulikuwa na brains au ugali vichwani mwetu mpaka tukaigawa nchi yetu kubwa, nzuri, yenye kila kitu you can dream about in a country (except leadership).

They gotta pay 'fine' for that...

But I do have other [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Mlenge-Fanuel-Mgendi/e/B002KGRRK8"]interesting books[/ame] for current readers, starting from $1.00 (kindle versions), like: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Babba-Mia-ebook/dp/B0034KZ0NA/"]Babba Mia[/ame]!, [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Midsummer-Dream-Mlenge-Fanuel-Mgendi/dp/1448640237"]A Midsummer Day's Dream[/ame], [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Mwajey-Swahili-Mlenge-Fanuel-Mgendi/dp/1448661455/"]Mama Mwajey[/ame] na vinginevyo...
