Did you know that Tz govt quietly borrowed about $2B externally last year? All that while going around shouting they build and buy stuff with cash

In Dec alone, $67m was borrowed
From Jan 2017 -Jan 2018, +$2B was borrowed externally, baada ya kutupigia kelele kua Tz Ina uwezo wa kujenga 2000MW dam na heal zao, kununua 787 Boeing na hela za ndani, kujenga SGR na hela za ndani,...... Watuambie hizi $2B zilitoka bank gani na kutumika wapi manake inaonekana watz wengi walikua hata hawajui ukiskia vile wanavyoongea

Adding $2bn From world back is cheap cash, I thought you were talking about a commercial loan of $2bn. In any case External Debt at low intrest rate is better than internal borrowing which causes inflation and other havoc

" As regard to debt service, about USD 200 million was paid out in January 2018, while cummulative debt service in the year ending January 2018 was USD 1,058.3 million, out of which USD 659.6 million was paid by the central government. "

You need to appraise yourself on The difference btw commercial loans and WB loans. WB loans are not given with no project that can satisfy WB economist that they are going to be repaid.
Cherry picking JPM's words is an absurdity, He clearly has said what he is funding from internal revenues and what he will have to borrow, and not from commercial lenders. Suit your self

Hivi wewe uko sawa kweli.. unazani WB, AFDB, IMF and the likes ni kama saccos ya Kibera! Utawezaje kukopa kimya kimya. Kama ni kimya kimya kwanini iwekwe kwenye report? Kwa taharifa yako hiyo mikopo ina mchakato mrefu sana mpaka kuja kupewa siyo kupiga simu nakutumiwa pesa.
Miradi ambayo ina fanywa kutumia hizo pesa za mikopo inajulikana. Upanuzi wa bandari usd 300m, BRT phase 2 zaidi ya usd 250m, Ubungo interchange more than 250m, miradi ya maji, DMDP zaidi ya Usd300m, Maboresho ya reli ya kati (narrow gauge)usd 200m etc ila siyo SGR.
Taasisi yoyote ya fedha ikikupa fedha lazima uipeleke kule kuliko kusudiwa other wise inakuwa ni moral hazard. Ila ata kama tungekopa 10b na bado total loan ikawa 32% ya GDP bado tungekua safe. Nyie pambaneni na Uhuruto wenu
