Motisun Group is building a fruit processing factory SAYONA Fruits Ltd in Msoga area, Coast Region, Tanzania.

We Motisun Group Limited have invested an initial capital of 55 million US dollars. Of the amount, 36 million US dollars was secured as a bank loan.

Very soon, we’ll roll out a set of fresh juices, including orange, mango, pineapple and tomato juice. It will be a fresh fruit factory, there will be no carbonated drinks.

Just nearby Msoga, there is a large pineapple farming community in Bagamoyo, if you have been to the district, you must have heard of Kiwangwa.

In this area, pineapples thrive throughout the year, Plenty of the fruit is sold to neighbouring Kenya where it is processed and then re-imported to Tanzania. We thought it would be wise to tap this opportunity and invest in fresh fruit juice, for value addition of our local produce.

Ah congratulations bana. Nakubali hicho kiwanda ni first class

Hii Viwonder Revolution ni ya kufinya juice tu!?
Yes especially if they will stop export of fruits to Kenya! We will be exporting juice instead hence job creation at home n value addition. Kenya will be the market, as that is his third factory aside the two in Dar and Mwanza.

Two more to be opened in Mbeya and Moshi by 2019. The same is happening with poultry, meat, dairy, grain, cooking oil n sugar industries. Pretty much suppot this as 80% of Tanzanian population is in agriculture. U start from ur strength.

By Azania Post Reporter

TANZANIAN President Dr John Magufuli has assured industrialists in the country of his government full support for livelihood of locals and nation.

Speaking soon after inaugurated a soft drink factory for Sayona beverages in Mwanza region on Monday, President said industries plays a crucial role for economic development.

“Let me assure you and other industrialists that my government is with you in this industrial drive, we will give you any kind of support,” he said.

Dr Magufuli said Mwanza had a lot of industries but have failed to due to various reasons adding that the decision taken by the Sayona factory should be emulated.

He said his government understands the importance of industries to the economy and requested the owners of the industries and those who wish to start industries in the country to ignore utterances by some people who allege that he hates industrialists.

"Invest in the industries and I am telling you, If you fail to utilise this 5th phase government, you will never succeed again" he said, adding: "I neither hate industrialists nor rich people"

Dr. Magufuli insisted that his government will work on the challenges raised by the industrialists in the country.

Thank Kenya's free market policies and for its adherence to EAC treaty! Suppose Kenya was to curtail entry of Tz goods the same way Tz is doing, all will be in vain but Kenya knows better!
Finyeni juice,tutanunua.

didn't u ban our gas n wheat? U now make noises after Magufuli banned milk n poultry business from Kenya as ours were treated the same in the whole of Kikwete era.

Let fair competition prevail I give u access to my market u give me urs n let the products fairly compete. End of story. BTW ur govt has shut up from the tread dispute seeing trade fAllington to its lowest.

The gas issue was due to safety concerns. The retail traders ordering in bulk through those tankers had no safety capacity to store, break bulk or dispense hence the halt till handling is main streamed.

As for the other Tit for Tat ping pong, until you acknowledge that free trade is not for the weak but strong willed, mtakaa na bidhaa zenu. We got lots of alternatives

There are no alternatives for cheap Gas, Cement,Maize flour and now processed fruit products. Kenyan consumers will continue to enjoy Cheap Tz products as Manufacturing Jobs shift to Tz. In the meantime Jubilee nicompops will continue to entertain cartels who have held and monopolized factors of production such as power and Land. To make matters worse, VAT on input items such as diesel fuel is in the offing for the bankrupt gvt. This will only push the price of kenyan manufactured commodities up.

You put it very correctly, agenda ya viwanda Tanzania ni kuhakikisha at least 80% raw material inatoka Tanzania. If you look at it, uwezo huo tunao, from steel, to energy, gas, mineral to agricultural hata cheap labor.

if so then how did u let them enter Kenya unconditionally after Magu's retaliation even before safety concerns were addressed! Wacha ujinga sema JPM is giving u a right dose of medicine with ur protectionism habits. Now GoK is scared to try their stupidity seeing banning Tanzanian goods don't affect our economy but urs having no one to trade with on ur northern frontier n seeing Uganda emulating Tanzania. U r simply cornered.

So you naively believe that if Tz shuts its doors UG and others will follow suit? Kenya's resilient and diversified economy has stood the toughest of times before and a mere tantrum from Tz will not scathe any bit of it.
