Thank you Mr. President, two US companies sign deal to invest in Kenya

Whatever they talked is not worth the time and money spent on the trip..Possibly kenya wanted a seat at UN security council so that it can leverage that to have UN pay AMISOM soldiers in Somalia which UN plans to stop paying..Unfortunately Trump is not intrested in fighting Muslim extremists..And thats why US citizens acuse him of working with Vlandmir Putin who is a well known supporter of Extreamists in the middle east.
For bilateral deals, that road from NBO to MSA is nothing to USA, $300m is money he can personaly loan kenya from his own pocket.
Simply, This was a meeting best described as All Hat No cattle type of meeting
Boss, value ya hio barabara sio $300 million yenye umesema hapo juu. Ebu get your facts right.

Kenyatta is a very smart president, never compare with other East African mediocres he plays right cards at the right time, lakini washamba wa madaraka (in Hon. Zitto's words) wapowapo tu.

Meeting Investors is the work of Kenya investment board(KenInvest) and for Tanzania(TanInvest) Its a shame for a whole President to do the work of a foreign affairs minister. The only Time JPM got himself involved directly with investor is the case of Dangote, and Thats because TanInvest had refused to give dangote incentives..Thats how a country with institutions work..There is no way investors are given the privillage of meeting the president even before they commit even 1% of their money to the country..Meeting the president should be the very last step and only to sortout issues KenInvest/ TanInvest cant sort out
The likes of Keninvest only sign MoUs..... That already happen whem American chamber of commerce visited Kenya....

Kumbe hata haukusoma taarifa vizuri unakurupukwa tu... taarifa inasema ..." Witnessed the signing of two agreements that will see two US companies invest $238 million worth of projects in Kenya...."
.....
Uhuru was there the business delegates were there...Uhuru just happened to be a witness... Its not even the executive that signed the deal... Look at the photos ... That guy signing is probably CFO from Kengen or KPLC who are the ones who will purchase the power from the private firm...
The president needed to be there since he was in The US... bieng there sends a message that Kenya is open for business. ..That kenya is approachable ..... sisi si Tz...Enzi za Moi tulitoka kitambo ambapo Rais alikua kama emperor mtukufu..kupata appointment na rais ni ngumu kuliko kupata appointment na Mungu!

As I said, If kenya sends its president to USA on behalf/ to enhance business relations of Cocacola,IBM etc that means there is an institution that is sleeping on the Job. Those are very minor things..As for buhari, If you are not aware..Nigeria' is one of the only Opec "friendly" to usa, and with decline in venezuela oil, Nigeria is very important in stabalizing the oil prices
I was just making a point to counter your claim that buhari went to US because US oil companies are invested in Nigeria...
Buhari does not controll the flow of oil from Nigeria. ..oil companies do... it is also the oil companies that sell the oil not Nigerian govt...They dont need Buhari to fly there...

Uhuru and Buhari both went for State visit... State visits are political. .. they dont even have to involve money exchanging.... Remember when JPM came to Kenya? Theresa May is visiting three African countries... You dont expect here to sign commercial deals with every country....

In the US, They have agreed Enhanced AGOA deals in the pipeline... No money directly involved but when that happens... Regular exporters will be making a kill

Hatuna haja ya mabishano, Uhuru ni moja ya marais wenye akili nyingi tu East Africa na anastaili pongezi zake pia JPM ana mambo yake ambayo anafanya poa sana kuliko any EAC country yeyote na kuna mambo yake anavurunda tena ana vurunda hasa but all in all hakuna haja ya kucompare both two sababu wako na uzuri tofauti na ubaya tofauti.

A whole president Travels with his delegation to "witness" signing of a paltry 200mln Private deals? Thats idleness. You wait for the deals to go through and offer only "Troubleshooting" where investors get hiccups..That way, they will respect the presidency and not asssume kenya is soo desperate for US Investors..You must play smart not prostrate yourself like a whore
