there is over 200 km not parved dust road! seee urself hereSo Geza, kwako there is no paved road anywhere between Nairobi to lodwar . You do forget that Nakuru is 150km North of Nairobi and the road is marvelous. You do forget that 154km North of Nakuru is eldoret, the road to which is as smooth as a child's skin. You do forget that along this very same route, 80km North of Eldoret is Kitale with an amazing drive.
The road around 20 km from Kitale to not just Lodwar but to the border with South Sudan saw construction start at exactly 5th of September, 2015 using sh50bn secured from the world Bank. Nikapata details and pics showing kwenye imefika I'll post.
