The Institute of Finance Management (IFM) is a public Institute in Tanzania established in 1972. It stands as the oldest higher learning financial institution in Tanzania. The institute has been involved in teaching, research, and consultancy.
Currently, the Institute enrolls about 9228 students in both undergraduate and graduate programmes. At IFM, students are inspired and challenged to investigate critical issues of the 21st century in areas of financial management, insurance, social protection, and information technology. IFM offers an unparalleled student experience, both in and out of the classroom. The Institute has three faculties that award certificate, diploma and degree, postgraduate diploma, and master’s degree. The Institute offers short courses in regular basis to address certain needs in the market. Up to date, the Institute has about 38,321 alumni.

Faculties​

The Institute of Finance Management has Three main faculties as of 2024:
  • Faculty of Computing and Mathematics.
  • Faculty of Business and Economics.
  • Faculty of Insurance and Banking.
IFM Main campus is located in Dar es Salaam City Centre, Shaaban Robert Street, opposite the National Museum of Tanzania.

The Institute of Finance Management has four campuses which are allocated in different area:
  • Dar es Salaam, Main Campus.
  • Mwanza Campus.
  • Dodoma Campus.
  • Simiyu Campus.

The institute provide training different levels from postgraduate level to Basic technician level as shown below:

  • Master of Science (MSc) in Human Resources Management.
  • Master of Science Insurance and Actuarial Science.
  • Master of Science in Social Protection Policy and Development.
  • Master of Business Administrations (MBA) International Business programme in collaboration with Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, India
  • Master of Science in Information Technology and Management (MSc.ITM), in collaboration with Avinashilingham University for Women, India.

Hii special thread imechelewa sana kuja, hiki chuo hakijitangazagi hata ila kina nyomi ya kufa sana na kaeneo kao kadogo kale.
 
Watoto wa town, chuo chenye pisi kali. Mwendo wa Panton kwa wanaoishi Kigamboni.
 
😁😁😁 ukiingia first year semester ya kwanza, utaona mambo yanaendaenda tu, mara welcom first year part, mara sijui IFMSO part ya nini sijui. mara unashangaa test 1, hujakaa sawa test 2, mara huna marks za presentation ya tutorial. hujakaa sawa coursework una incomplete hukufanya quiz. umepamba kupata zero ya quiz final hiyoooo. matokeo yanatoka wanao wa karibu 7 wamedisco, mnaanza kuona group za tutorial zinapungua kutoka 5 hadi 3 😂😂😂 hapo ndo akili inakaa sawa mnakutana mwezi wa tisa kwenye september conference, mwamba ana sup zake kama 6 hivi, na Accounting ndo huwa inashika wengi
 
Hivi ile Master of Science in Finance from Strathclyde University (UK) iliyokuwa ikifundishwa ktk majengo ya IFM ilifutwaa..!???
