For anyone looking to take a selfie with their favorite footballer, this is how it's done.
Manchester City's 7-0 thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup saw Frank Lampard notch a pair of goals, a fine way of following up Saturday's match in which he scored an 85th-minute equalizer against his former club to end Chelsea's perfect start to the season.
And of course, since Lampard is now the coolest player at the Etihad Stadium, one supporter decided to invade the pitch in order to snap a selfie with the iconic midfielder.
The trend of pitch invaders taking selfies with footballers has become increasingly popular since the summer, but this supporter appears to have the art down to three simple steps.
Step #1: Embrace footballer
Step #2: Snap selfie with footballer
Step #3: Smile as you're escorted off the pitch

The draw for the fourth round of the Capital One Cup took place Wednesday, pinning the remaining 16 clubs into eight fixtures.
Only nine Premier League teams remain in the competition following the elimination of Arsenal, Sunderland, Everton, Crystal Palace and Hull City in the third round, and at least two non-top flight clubs will progress to the quarterfinals as Milton Keynes Dons have drawn Sheffield United, while Fulham will meet Derby County.
Here's how the draw unfolded:
Tottenham vs. Brighton & Hove Albion
Stoke City vs. Southampton
AFC Bournemouth vs. West Bromwich Albion
Shrewsbury Town vs. Chelsea
Liverpool vs. Swansea City
