The post Magufuli at work appeared first on Gado .

Started with cutting of live parliamentary debates, jailing of opposition leaders then banning some radio stations. Did i mention freedom on the net? Just asking, if i were Tanzanian and vehemently needed to oppose a government project what would be my recluse? But then again i am no Tanzanian, God bless the mighty republic.

We're at work... [HASHTAG]#HapaKaziTu[/HASHTAG] @NikoNaMagufuli

ohhh pleaase spare us the gibberish, the corruption in your place is stinking, and by the way are you done attacking the foreign diplomat @Laotze

Nothing in that supports some systematic muzzling, you gotta be smart to see the difference. If you are looking for such incidents they exist for every country but it is only in Tanzania and Philippines where the trend is all there on the direction faced.

First step to healing is acceptance, in Kenya everyone knows and agrees we don't have the best police institution, but we make noise for change. Our parliament so often disappoints us, thank God we have the courts. It doesn't matter what side you are on, in Kenya we usually agree on the problems that face us and work to correct the situation, whatever way we can, twitter mostly but we get it done. This will never change because there is no way people will ever agree, we are not the same in any way, so our constitution has allowed us various ways to protest and come to an agreement that fits all. DO you know we were so close to another violence episode after 2017, but that I can assure you will not happen, because our constitution and free space allowed us to change the situation early enough, because at the end of the day it is our beloved country.

This happens everywhere, so at least allow room for protest and listen to all views. yet you can not even see that you have a problem. you guys were so close to getting where we are during Kikwete days, but now you are definitely worse than Uganda. At least they can make noise and hold rallies, and their govt is actually asking for discussions. A one man state as you are clearly making Tz to be can never grow after, you will have so much ground to cover after, re-education, rebuilding of instituitions.
As your friends we are definitely worried and you should to, instead of comparing yourselves to us, we know we have ways to sought ourselves in case of an issue ( also called institutions).

All these within a span of one year, Wabongo wanalo jameni.
Did you see what happened to opposition principal Mr. Mbowe, some hotel he co-owns has been seized, this reminds me of Kenyan history, back in the days.

Tanzania this is noticeable only coz it wasn't like this before. Whereas in Kenya this has been going on for decades that they are used to it and don't even know they have a problem.

Acha kujifanya unajua vitu wakati hujui.

I do not recall anyone saying that Kenya is heaven, it is definitely not. But we acknowledge our differences and remedy them. Tanzania under Kikwete was a stable nation but with its challenges but to tell us that we were better of with Moi in charge is pushing the limit. Magufuli for all intents and purposes is the Tanzanian version of Moi. You guys accept that there is a problem and work towards checking it; no country deserves an imperial president who makes all the decisions.

So you want to say it's a good thing to take the plunge into a poisoned dam simply because others are already dying there? That we won't feel lonely after all? I thought having Kenya to use as an example should warn us against following suit!

Unaijua Tanzania ya Kikwete ama unatania? Kitu gani anachofanya Magufuli kinachoitwa udikteta Kikwete hakufanya? Endeleeni kuombea Tanzania mabaya tu. Huwezi kujifanyia uhuni tu kwa kutumia kinachoitwa uhuru wa kutoa maoni.
Ona hapa chini mambo aliyofanya Kikwete (ambayo hata Kenya yanafanyika) ambayo sasa hivi yanaitwa udikteta:
Gazeti la MwanaHalisi lafungiwa kwa muda usiojulikana!

You misunderstood my point. What I mean is Kenyans are busy throwing stones while themselves they are living in a glass house

Kenyans themselves live in kenya, they go/went through all that they go through and experience it first hand.... so if kenyans are telling tanzanians that whats being done to them is wrong... then know that things are really wrong... coz we know what we are saying, we have been through it in the past

Is this past also?

Ati Kikwete era was peaceful. Hawa jamaa hawajui kitu, nahisi wana wivu sana na Magufuli, unakumbuka yule sungura aliezikataa zile mbivu baada ya kuzikosa, ndio hawa jamaa.

Tanzanians are helpless. You are busy fighting the messenger instead of understanding the message.

Also no Kenyan here has said that Kenya is politically better than Tanzania. No.

What Kenyans are saying is that the shit Tanzania is going thru Kenya has already gone through it or going through it right now.

However the difference is that Kenyans are constantly looking for solutions. Case and point, the recent demonstrations over the corrupt and incompetent elections body. Kenyans demonstrated and now there is real progress in getting that problem resolved.

Kenyans demonstrated sadly some died but we got a new constitution. How is that Tanzanian new constitution coming?

Kenyans fight for change. If we don't like what's going on we Change it. so far it's only we haven't been able to defeat corruption but anything else we don't like KENYANS MAKE the govt change. We don't sit around hoping for things to change.

This is what Tanzania is poor at doing. You people dont want to force the govt to enact change. This kind of laziness is what makes you people be ruled by the same incompetent CCM yet you people are okay with the CCM mediocrity. That would never happen in Kenya.

Y'all can say whatever you want, you can attack the messenger all you want but you can't run away from the truth and the truth is that until the day Tanzanians say enough is enough and demand real reforms the CCM will keep up the mediocrity and you people will keep bending over and take it like the nice obedient girls that you all are
