BBC Swahili - Habari - Lazima Gaddafi aondoke, viongozi wasisitiza

Teh teh marekani analitaka hilo balaa. angeweza kumchapa mwenyewe. tatizo mwakani kuna uchaguzi na obama anataka urais sasa anataka nato wafanye hilo. teh teh teh.

Aisha Gaddafi says her father's resignation would be an insult to all Libyans

THE resignation of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi would be "an insult for all Libyans", his daughter Aisha said today, after repeated calls by world leaders for him to step down.

"To speak of Gaddafi's resignation is a humiliation for all Libyans,"
she said in a brief statement at her father's Tripoli residence before hundreds of young supporters.

"You want to kill my father, pretending to protect civilians," she said, referring to Western air raids. "Where are these civilians? Are they carrying machine guns, RPGs, hand grenades?"

Aisha Gaddafi is a law professor who was a member of executed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's defence team following his ousting by US-led forces in 2003.

Britain, France and the United States said yesterday that a Libyan future including Gaddafi was "unthinkable" and would represent an "unconscionable betrayal" by the rest of the world.

MOSSAD walivyowadanganya Wamarekani kuipiga Libya......

By the end of March, the Americans were already intercepting messages broadcast by the Trojan, which was only activated during heavy communication traffic hours. Using the Trojan, the Mossad tried to make it appear that a long series of terrorist orders were being transmitted to various Libyan embassies around the world (or, as they were called by the Libyans, Peoples' Bureaus). As the Mossad had hoped, the transmissions were deciphered by the Americans and construed as ample proof that the Libyans were active sponsors of terrorism. What's more, the Americans pointed out, Mossad reports confirmed it.

The French and the Spanish, though, were not buying into the new stream of information. To them, it seemed suspicious that suddenly, out of the blue, the Libyans, who'd been extremely careful in the past, would start advertising their future actions. They also found it suspicious that in several instances Mossad reports were worded similarly

We MpigaKelele kweli ni mpiga kelele.

Anyway, tafadhali usichukulie maneno yangu as a personal attack. Sina mpango huo kabsaaa. A sense of humour is sometimes needed in a forum like this!

U.S. and Allies Seek Possible Refuge for Qaddafi

By DAVID E. SANGER and ERIC SCHMITT

Published: April 16, 2011

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration has begun seeking a country, most likely in Africa, that might be willing to provide shelter to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi if he were forced out of Libya, even as a new wave of intelligence reports suggest that no rebel leader has emerged as a credible successor to the Libyan dictator.

The intense search for a country to accept Colonel Qaddafi has been conducted quietly by the United States and its allies, even though the Libyan leader has shown defiance in recent days, parading through Tripoli's streets and declaring that he has no intention of yielding to demands that he leave his country.

The effort is complicated by the likelihood that he would be indicted by the International Criminal Court in the Hague for the bombing of Pan Am 103 in 1988, and atrocities inside Libya.

One possibility, according to three administration officials, is to find a country that is not a signatory to the treaty that requires countries to turn over anyone under indictment for trial by the court, perhaps giving Colonel Qaddafi an incentive to abandon his stronghold in Tripoli.

UK's Cameron: no plans for ground forces in Libya

LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister David Cameron on Sunday ruled out committing ground troops in Libya, saying it was important to adhere to a U.N. mandate and not to take action that could alienate the Arab world.

"What we've said is there is no question of invasion or an occupation -- this is not about Britain putting boots on the ground. That is not what we're about here," he told Sky News in an interview when asked about military help being stepped up.

Speaking from Oxfordshire in southern England, he said the Western alliance's mission was clear: to enforce a no-fly zone and to press on with sorties to destroy Muammar Gaddafi's tanks and artillery that are being used to kill civilians.

"We are very clear we must stick to the terms of the U.N. Security Council resolution. We must keep the support of the Arab world and I think that is very important to make sure this is done the right way," he said.
