Tiger Woods' wife buys a house in Sweden

Elin Nordegren has purchased a $2.29 million house on an island near Stockholm, according to the Daily Express newspaper in London.
"She's incredibly hurt by what has gone on, but . . . she's working it out as best she can," Elin's friend and Grand Slam tennis champ Lindsay Davenport told "Entertainment Tonight."
"Everyone's wish when you get married is to make it work, and we'll see if they're able to do that." Woods' lawyer, publicist and agent did not respond to the New York Post's repeated requests for comment


Yesterday, prosecutors in Orlando revealed the Florida Highway Patrol had suspected he was driving under the influence of booze and two prescription drugs. Trooper Joshua Evans, in a Nov. 30 request for a subpoena for the results of blood tests, wrote that a "witness" -- Nordegren -- "stated that the driver had consumed alcohol earlier in the day."

"Also, [Nordegren] stated that the driver was prescribed medication" -- the sedative Ambien and powerful painkiller Vicodin, Evans wrote. "Impairment of the driver is also suspected due to the careless driving that resulted in the traffic crash."

Evans' request for the subpoena was denied by a prosecutor.
Another newly disclosed police report revealed that when cops arrived at the scene, Woods was lying in the road as Nordegren leaned over him.

The SUV's engine was still running, the front passenger door was jammed, and both rear door windows were smashed, according to the report. Two golf clubs were found next to a golf cart in the road.
TMZ.com reported early Monday that Woods was admitted to a local hospital -- under the alias William Smith -- as an "OD" and that he was having trouble breathing. MSNBC.com reported Woods was intubated to help his respiration.

Because of the unfolding scandal, Woods won't be showing up for best friend Bryon Bell's wedding in South Carolina on Saturday, TMZ also reported.

Meanwhile, it emerged yesterday that British porn star Holly Sampson also allegedly had a fling with Tiger, according to the London Daily Mail, bringing the number of women he's accused of cheating with to 10.
