This is why Millie Odhiambo cannot be arrested despite insulting Uhuru

This is why Millie Odhiambo cannot be arrested despite insulting Uhuru

Uttering such uncouth statements, using vulgar language as hon Odhiambo did shows women nowadays have no respect for their in laws, parents, grand parents who can hardly stomach such insults by an educated lady. It would have been better for her parents if they had married her off immediately on her completion of lower primary education!!
Uhuru pia alimtusi 2 way street!!

I wish Tanzanian MPs would have the balls to criticize JPM
This will never ever happen in Tanzania .
We don't have freedom of speech. I'm telling you someone will get 20 to life or even "mistrials disappear" if try anything like this.

Ukimtukana president ni umetukana Jamhuri..

BTW, huku polisi akikuona unatukana hata kama unaemtukana haonekani u will be arrested na utashtakiwa na Jamhuri,
Kwaiyo huyo mama kisheria alitakiwa awe ametiwa nguvuni bila hata kushtakiwa maana amekiuka maadili na ametukana mamlaka ya nchi,
Don't wory, kuhusu Magufuli, he is a dictator indeed, and he will shape this country and take it to the highest.
We like him very much, hatuwezi kuwa na serikali ya viongizi wamejaa utoto na masihara vichwani.
God bless President JPM

Wazee naona wanazidi kumuandama SIMBA LA KIKE!!!

I think us "young East Africans" don't really see the pitfalls of what we are reaching out to. Young men and women in Ethiopia, Sudan and Eritrea next door are running away from their countries in their thousands not because of war but because they can't even think for themselves and we are busy asking the our governments to "filter" the news.
Besides, what guarantee do you have that the person doing the filtering doesn't have an ulterior agenda? Surely my "good/acceptable news" is not the same as yours....
As the youth lets not opt for the easy way out, democracy is hard to maintain, but when it doesn't suit us let's not ask for authoritarianism instead.
My two cents.

I still disagree, and with due respect, lets agree to disagree without invoking emotions.
Media plays a major role in the society, we depend on the fourth estate to inform ourselves of the stuffs happenings all over. Meaning it's a very powerful, it can build and destroy a nation within one day. So, with so much power, there is need to have control and responsibility.

Am sure you'd be grossly offended if when seated with your family watching TV and suddenly they feature rowdy young men slicing some victims with machetes and blood spurting and splashing all over the screen, all in the name of media freedom to air anything.

Kenyans, we are taking this freedom of expression way too far. And, I beg to be understood, for me it doesn't matter where it's coming from. Am an ardent supporter of president Uhuru, come 2017 I will wake up early to vote for him. He is still the best for my expectations despite some shortcomings. But there are times he allows emotions to engulf him and he ends up insulting some people, such moments I normally feel like hiding under the table with embarrassment. Especially when it's aired live on TV, I feel so bad seeing my children watching their own president insulting someone on national TV. Kibaki used to do it too.

So, it's not like am reacting simply because it came from an opposition MP, but am simply calling for media to understand the country belongs to them too. We have a generation to hand over the nation to, right now kids all over the estates are echoing Millie Odhiambo's insults word by word.
