This is why Millie Odhiambo cannot be arrested despite insulting Uhuru

"Uhuru does not even compare to me wacha Raila Odinga , mwambie Uhuru yeye ni mshenzi , mwizi, ni fisi and my consents tell me he is extremely stupid (Uhuru does not even compare to me let alone Raila Odinga, Tell Uhuru that he is foolish, a thief and a hyena)," Odhiambosaid.


Odhiambo was enjoying the parliamentary privilege which is the freedom of deliberation, speech, and debate accorded to legislators on the floor of the House or any such precinct under use by Members of Parliament and Senators.

As some bashed her for the very aggressive behaviour, she equally received support from a number of Kenyans who thought she was a bold woman.

Whether she can be arrested or not, is neither here nor there. What should be debated is surely what has become of our society, that we have our children watching a full member of parliament spewing insults on a national TV like that in the name of 'bold woman' whatever that means. Whether it was directed at Uhuru or any other person for that matter. Our social fabric is torn into pieces.

I do enjoy the freedom of expression we have in our country, I personally participated in agitation for the same, back in the days when we rioted on the streets and got gassed up in the 90s. It wasn't for nothing, we are the best democracy today in the whole of East and Central Africa. But sometimes we take it way too far in the name of exercising it.

I would rather the media blacked out those insults, right now watching and reading through the social media, guys are insulting each other like crazy. Drums of war and hate all over.

media blocking sio solution! media is performing its duty. they wiill give you the good and the bad. you are aiming the gun at the wrong target. shida imemekua tangu serikali za awali lakini hii ya jubilee ikazidi. breaking the law with impunity. akitangulia rais mwenyewe. he insults raila in central what do you think raila followers will feel and you know each camp has fanatical followers!! pili constitutional order the current government doesnt give a hoot, sana sana kama the constitution is not on their side, zaidi ya hayo they have the greatest comtempt for the courts ata Moi time koti waliheshimu, these 2 fellows have no time for courts and they publicly state so!! what do you think the common mwananchi will get from that message!!

BTW, huku polisi akikuona unatukana hata kama unaemtukana haonekani u will be arrested na utashtakiwa na Jamhuri,
Kwaiyo huyo mama kisheria alitakiwa awe ametiwa nguvuni bila hata kushtakiwa maana amekiuka maadili na ametukana mamlaka ya nchi,
Don't wory, kuhusu Magufuli, he is a dictator indeed, and he will shape this country and take it to the highest.
We like him very much, hatuwezi kuwa na serikali ya viongizi wamejaa utoto na masihara vichwani.
