Is your spouse cheating on you? If yes or in doubt, it is now easier and cheaper to find out.
For only Sh15,000, a spouse can acquire a kit that he or she can use at home to conduct tests and find out if the other half is cheating.
Mr Kinyanjui Murigi of Crime Scene Investigation, a forensic company based in Nairobi, says that SemenSPY kit will help suspecting spouses confirm or negate their fears.
He says that the kit is the most "accurate home semen detection kit in the market today". Other than finding out if a spouse is cheating, Mr Murigi said the kit can be used to find out whether minors are engaging in sexual activities. It can also be used to gather evidence that may prove signs of child molestation.
Mr Murigi told Daily Nation Wednesday that the kit carries with it several tools to be used in collecting or detecting traces of semen on the undergarments. He added that the kit comes with "how to use notes", making the detection work easier. It is also easy to carry and hide.
The crime expert says that after a sexual encounter, men would secrete some fluid several hours after the act.
With the aid of a semen detection light, he said, the user is able to find the traces in the undergarments even after several washes.
Semen is a fluid that comes from several different organs including the prostate and other glands secreted by men when they ejaculate. SemenSPY uses an extremely accurate testing method called PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen). PSA is one of the major proteins found in seminal fluid, which can also be found in the absence of spermatozoa in the case of men who have undergone vasectomy," he explained.
He said that scientists have been able to recover PSA from semen stains as old as 30 years.
Suspicious stains
"By using the enclosed SemenSPY UV light, you may find suspicious stains that you can test for semen," he said.
Mr Murigi said that statistics show that 85 per cent of women and 50 per cent of men who suspect their spouses of cheating are right.
"According to the consensus of sex researchers, 60 per cent of married men and 40 per cent of married women are likely to have an affair in marriage. But the percentage of married women having affairs is on the rise," he warned.
