Hatutaki watupende ama wasitupende.. we need to live our life na ku handle ugonjwa tunavyotaka. ..

Nadhani wewe sio Homo sapiens.Thinking capacity yako ina walakini. Aliishakuwa daktari hapa. Unaandika na kuandika allegations zisizo kichwa wala miguu. China, China, China wamefanikiwa. Nadhani utakuwa unajifunza kichina. Si bure na China yako hiyo.

Ulishawahi kusikia wapi mtu anakubembeleza ili akupe msaada?

Ukisema sintajibu kisha unajibu jichunguze akili ama integrity yako..

Yet mnajiona mnajua....

Punguza kuwaabudu utakuwa mtu bora....

Maviiiiiiiiiiii

Ambassador to Tanzania. I want to talk to you about COVID-19, and how we can work together to prevent its spread and help all of us stay safe.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, almost two and a half million people have died of the disease. The loss is staggering, and no country has been untouched. In my own country, the United States of America, we have lost over 500,000 of our fellow citizens. To further complicate things, new variants of the virus have caused another more intense wave of infections across the world, including the African continent. It has become clear that the virus variant has arrived in Tanzania, also. I’ve been encouraged by recent statements from the Ministry of Health acknowledging COVID-19 as a public health priority in Tanzania and urging citizens to take basic precautions: such as avoiding crowds, wearing masks, and social distancing. This is good advice and I urge everyone to follow it.

In addition to implementing basic precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, there are at least two other important tools that are critical to controlling this pandemic.

First, in order to know if response measures are having the intended impact, it is critical to collect and report information about testing and cases. That’s why it is so important for all governments to share accurate and timely information about the number of cases in their countries to the World Health Organization. Sharing this information reassures citizens that their governments are fighting to protect their health and their livelihoods. Furthermore, such reporting allows researchers and scientists to better track the disease and prevent unnecessary deaths – both nationally and regionally.

The second tool is vaccines. As our new Secretary of State Tony Blinken stated, “Until everyone in the world is vaccinated, then no-one is really fully safe.” Vaccines have helped eradicate some of the worst diseases on earth, and there is no doubt that a mass immunization campaign will save lives. Just look at the numbers in the US; in the past couple of weeks, as millions of vaccinations have been given, the numbers of new Covid-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths have started to fall. I urge the Government of Tanzania to convene its health experts and review the evidence on vaccines.

As the world’s largest health and humanitarian donor, the United States continues to lead the global response to the Covid-19 pandemic, contributing more than $1.5 billion to COVID-19 mitigation efforts worldwide and pledging $4 billion to speed global distribution of vaccines. Here in Tanzania, we dedicated $16.4 million to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic since the first confirmed case was diagnosed in March of 2020. The United States stands ready to ramp up our efforts and we are committed to working side by side with Tanzania to defeat Covid-19.

I will close this message on a personal note. I am a doctor by profession. Before being named Ambassador to Tanzania, I spent over 30 years working in the public health sector. I can promise you that the public health measures I’ve been speaking about WORK. They will save lives if they are adopted. I urge all Tanzanians to join now in supporting these measures so that we can protect each other and the ones we love.

Udume beberu baba wewe ndiye kinga pekee tuliyobakiza.

daaa ila waziri wa afya ni kituko jamani 🤣 🤣 🤣 , the worst leader to ever lead the ministry! au nasema uongo ndugu zangu?

Covid pandemic is more than a scientific problem. It also affects other domains of power including economics (imperialist taking advantage of their financial power to exploit the pandemic for their benefits), sovereignty (you don't know what is in the vaccine, and since you didn't make it, you just cant blindly recommend it to your populace) and spirituality (evil is a spirit, and covid pandemic evil is no exception).

So it is not only about science, it is also about these other things in the mix, and Tanzania is currently fortunate to have a leader who probably thinks outside the box. Recent spike in covid infections and subsequent deaths should not makes us forget that we have been there before, survived, and we shall defeat this evil. Again!
The surest scenario of beating this covid scourge is for everyone who as contracted the virus to die from it!
Thats a viable, though obnoxious solution.
Some think its even viable!

I'd say the surest way of beating the virus is provided by nature itself. Survival of the fittest! That is the original means by which our ancestors survived ancient bugs -- a lot of viral sequences are integrated in our genomes -- neutralized or co-opted to our benefit.

Japan has asked China to stop taking anal swab tests for Covid-19 on its citizens when they enter the country.
Some have complained that the procedure caused them "psychological distress", officials say.
China, which has largely brought the virus under control, started carrying out anal swabs in January.
Last week, it denied it had required US diplomats to undergo such tests after US media reported some had complained about the procedure.
"Some Japanese reported to our embassy in China that they received anal swab tests, which caused great psychological pain," Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato said.
It was not known how many Japanese citizens received such tests, he added.

The tests are used on some of those quarantined or entering China, he also said, noting their use "has not been confirmed anywhere else in the world".
China had not so far responded to the request, he said, adding that the Japanese government had made the request through the embassy in Beijing.
Some Chinese cities have introduced anal swabs, with local experts claiming they can "increase the detection rate of infected people".
At the time of their launch, state media reported those tests had been "controversial among experts", and that they were far less efficient than tests in the upper respiratory tracts.
The existing tests were preferred, as they believe most people contract the virus orally, they said.
The tests involve inserting a cotton swab 3-5cm (1.2-2.0 inches) into the anus and gently rotating it.

The French government says older people with pre-existing conditions can now get AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine, revising its stance on the issue.
"People affected by co-morbidities can be vaccinated with AstraZeneca, including those aged between 65 and 74," the health minister said.
Last month France approved use of the vaccine for under-65s only, citing lack of data for older people.
Since then studies have shown the jab is highly effective among the elderly.

The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is widely used across the UK, but several EU countries are still limiting it to the under-65s, including Germany.
The EU drugs regulator has approved it for all adults, but it is up to each member to set its own rollout policy.

Speaking on France 2 television late on Monday, French Health Minister Olivier Véran said people with pre-existing conditions could get the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine from GP surgeries, hospitals and "within days" from pharmacies.
Those aged over 75 will still be offered either Pfizer or Moderna jabs in a vaccination centre, he added.

In January French President Emmanuel Macron said the AstraZeneca vaccine was "quasi-ineffective" for older age groups - a claim strongly rejected at the time by the UK officials and scientists.
But as more data has emerged, French health officials have tried to convince people that it is just as safe and effective as other Covid-19 vaccine, AFP news agency reports.
Just 273,000 AstraZeneca doses have been administered in France out of 1.7m received by the end of February, health ministry figures show.
Vaccine roll-outs in many EU countries have been hit by delays. About 3m people have so far received at least one dose in France - against more than 20m in the UK, which has roughly the same population.

What do we know about the vaccine?

Britain has been using the vaccine made by AstraZeneca, a UK-Swedish pharmaceutical firm, in its mass immunisation programme since December.
UK health officials say it provides "high levels of protection" for all ages.
No-one who received the Oxford vaccine in trials was admitted to hospital or became seriously ill due to Covid.
The vaccine is given via two injections to the arm, the second between 4 and 12 weeks after the first.
