Kama mnataka kuwaenzi wapigania uhuru basi nyerere aitwe kwa jina linalomstahiki kiufupi lsiwe muasisi (senksi jokakuu kwa hotuba) maana yake kama ingeletwa na M.Said kungekuwa na ulau wa kila aina.
Mnakasha wa ''kuasisi'' TANU ilikuwa kitendawili hata cha waasisi wa TANU zaidi ya miaka 50 sasa.
Nilipokuwa nafanya mahojiano na Mzee Germano Pacha Tabora kuhusu historia ya TANU Mzee Pacha
alisema maneno haya: ''Kama isingekuwa kwa ile picha tuliopiga leo hii kungekuwa na waasisi wengi
sana wa TANU.''
Maneno aliyasema mbele ya Sheikh Ilunga Kapungu aliyekuwa mwenyeji wangu Tabora na ndiye
aliyefanikisha kunikutanisha na wazee wa Tabora.
Nilikutana na Mzee Pacha ndani ya ofisi ya Mzee Rashid Mussa katika ofisi ya duka la wazee wa
pale Tabora.
Nakuwekea hapa chini ili uone uzito wa Mzee Rashid Mussa katika historia ya African Associatio na
TANU.
Katika maelezo haya vilevile utaona jinsi African Association ilivyokuwa inaanzishwa na utaona historia
ya uasisi.
Huenda historia hii ikatoa mwanga katika kujua nani muasisi na nani si muasisi.

Tabora began to participate in active politics in 1945 when the African Association was introduced to the township from Dodoma through the efforts of Edward Mwangosi.
The initiative in Tabora itself in forming the association of Africans came mainly from the Combine Dancing Club, a club formed by a group of young men of the township which had as one of its main activity the organisation of social affairs.
Strong members of the club were two Manyema brothers-Maulid Kivuruga and Abdallah Kivuruga; Chamnganda Usingizi, Ramadhani Nasibu, Rashid Mussa, Issa Kibira, Hamis Wabeba, Mwinyi Khatib Hemed, Swedi Juma, Issa Hamisi Pama and Rajab Kanyama.

On 3 rd March, 1945 the African Association was formed in Tabora with the following office bearers: Hamisi Simbe (President), Ramadhani Nasibu Vice-President, M.K. Hemed (Secretary), Chamng'anda Usingizi (Chairman), Fimbo Mtwana (Treasurer) and Rashid Mussa (Auditor). The African Association, like the club it had originated from, was dominated by Manyemas. It was in this way that the Muslim Manyema became the trailblazers of political development in Tanganyika.
Julius Nyerere witnessed the inauguration ceremony of the Association.[1]
Hemed wrote to the African Association headquarters in Dar es Salaam informing the leadership of its intention to open a branch in Tabora.[1]

In 1946, Makerere intellectuals started to show interest in the association when Hamza Mwapachu and Julius Nyerere, both graduates of Makerere College, were elected Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively, with the other posts remaining in the hands of the Manyemas.
After the transfer of Mwapachu from Tabora, Nyerere became secretary of the Association. In the same year Nyerere travelled to Dar es Salaam as the Tabora delegate to the annual conference of the Association. This was the first time that Dossa Aziz came to know Nyerere.
But the friendship between Dossa and Nyerere did not flourish until 1952 when the latter came to Dar es Salaam and teamed up with other young nationalists like Abdulwahid, who was the president of the Association, and his young brother, Ally.[/TD]

Muhimu ni kuwa hao wote niliowataja hapo juu walikuja kuwa waasisi wa TANU inategemea
msomaji amesimama vipi na wapi katika hiyo filosofi ya kuasisi. Hao wote waliingia TANU kwa
wakati mmoja ilipoasisiwa Tabora.
Katika tatizo la Nyerere na Abdulwahid Sykes tatizo lilikuwa hili.
Nyerere hakutaka la kwanza historia ya TANU ihusishwe na akina Sykes. Yeye akisimama kuwa
kuja kwake yeye ndiyo TANU ikazaliwa.
Lakini ni kweli yeye ndiye aliyeifanya TANU izaliwe?
Ukitaka jibu la swali hili inabidi urudi nyuma kwa baba yake Abdu, Kleist Sykes aliyeasisi African
Association na chama kikaendeshwa na wanawe hadi TANU ilipoasisiwa.
Baadhi ya watu wakawa wanasema lau kwa pembeni mmojawapo baba yangu Said Salum, rafiki wa
Abdu Sykes Ahmed Rashad Ali na watu wengine wa Dar es Salaam kuwa ''Nyerere hana asili na TANU.
