Today, President John Pombe Magufuli and I led our different delegations in a bilateral meeting at Masaka State Lodge. We later addressed the press.

We have assigned technical teams from both countries to follow up on assignments which will bolster trade.

For example, we are going to refurbish the old railway line from Port Bell to Central Kampala as an alternative route for goods.

This will be an extension of the repaired 771-mile railway from Dar-es-Salaam to Mwanza, which connects to Port Bell through Lake Victoria.

That way, we shall beat the problem of costly road transportation for a high volume of trade.

We also have a constituted joint technical team to harmonise the levy and standards on food produce from Uganda into Tanzania.

We shall also have a combined effort to deal with foot-and-mouth disease by vaccinating the animals around River Kagera across both borders.

On the Burundi dialogue, we both call upon all parties to take part in an inclusive dialogue in order to find a durable solution to the crisis.

We witnessed the signing of Memoranda of Understanding between the Uganda Police Force and the Tanzania Police Force, and Uganda Broadcasting Corporation with Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation.

Kama ni cha geographical location, Tanzania ya leo iko pale pale tangu mpate madaraka. Leo hii Bandari la Mombasa pamoja jkia bado ni bingwa kwa uchukuzi.

Ningependa kama ukipata nafasi ukakague tariff ya transit cargo iliyokua inaenda Uganda kutokea bandari ya Tanzania, yaani mlikua mumepunguza hadi hasara lakini, the biggest economic giant wa EAC akawa mshindi.

Kama nilivyokuambia, Uganda kwa Tanzania ni kama addition tu, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Malawi, na Eastern DRC hao ndiyo wateja wetu wa uhakika, Kenya mnabaki na 70% ya Uganda na 100% ya South Sudan basi, kama Uganda pipeline litakaloipatia Tanzania over $800 per year, ambayo ni zaidi ya mapato ya utalii wa Kenya, kwa hiyo battle ground ni matumizi ya bandari, lengo ni kupandisha hadi 50%, usisingizie machafuko ya kisiasa, bomba tuliwanyang'anya bila machafuko ya kisiasa, na hili tunalitimiza usianze kutoa sababu

Hao Rwanda, Burundi, Congo huwa tunawapata tu kama bakshishi maana wapo mbali nasi, ni kwa sababu ya uwezo wetu kimiundo mbinu ndio tunawapata, na kadiri tunavyozidi kuongeza ndivyo tunawapata zaidi, hata Tanzania Kaskazini na kanda ziwa huwa tunawapata, na tunataka tuwameze kabisa.
 
Uwepo wa Magufuli Uganda na matamko yote ya wanasiasa sio issue, cha msingi ni mikakati yetu kibiashara, nimekuambia miundo mbinu ambayo tunafanikisha inaendelea kuchimba na kuhakikisha tunakua kwenye soko la usafiri ukanda wote huu.
Hao Rwanda, Burundi, Congo huwa tunawapata tu kama bakshishi maana wapo mbali nasi, ni kwa sababu ya uwezo wetu kimiundo mbinu ndio tunawapata, na kadiri tunavyozidi kuongeza ndivyo tunawapata zaidi, hata Tanzania Kaskazini na kanda ziwa huwa tunawapata, na tunataka tuwameze kabisa.
Endelea kuota mchana, Burundi kwa sasa 95% na Rwanda ni 80% kabla Magufuli hajamalizia SGR, ikiisha itakuwa ni 100%, battle ground ni Uganda tu, kama bomba la mafuta ambalo tayari mlishakubaliana lakini tulilinyakua, huku kwengine hamuwezi kuhimili vishindo, angalia Rotich ameshasema serikali imeishiwa pesa, wakati huku Magufuli anaonyesha kiburi ya makusanyo kwa kutoa $3.1B chash toka hazina kujenga SGR, Kenya inashindwa kulipa deni la $770million inalazimika kukokapa ili kulipa deni, Kenya doesn't have muscles to compete with Tanzania's economy otherwise economy is going to collapse, Tanzania uchumi wake una mizizi mirefu ya Natural resources, Kenya hamna natural resources, msilazimishe mtaumia.
