A Ugandan businessman on Tuesday announced the relocation of all his aircraft to Kenya.

Captain Mike Mukula, through his Twitter account, announced the relocation after the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) delayed to issue him with an air operator's certificate (AOC).

AOC is the approval given by the aviation authority an air craft operator to allow the person to use any plane for business purposes.

The operator is required to have personnel, property and system in place to ensure the safety of the employees and the public.

Mukula revealed that the decision made was determined by a simple business sense income versus expenditure.

  • The pilot pointed out that the cost of maintaining the parked equipment for three years was too high.
The decision by Mukula was applauded by lawyer and politician Paul Muite who welcomed him to the country.
Muite highlighted Wilson Airport as the place for the businessman to take his aircraft.
Mukula, who is also the National Resistant Movement (NRM) vice chairman, stated that Aga Khan lost over 100 million US Dollars over Air Uganda.

Another Ugandan replying to Mukula’s tweet expressed disappointment at the aviation authority explaining that the delay in getting the license caused him to suspend his plans.

Akishindwa atashindwa tu.

Huko kwenu ni uswahili na waoga wa competition so the best they can do to deny Him one is simply delay issuance of the above. Bila kusahau wewe ni Mkongolis na naona hali mbaya ya barabara kwenu ni kawaida kama nchi uliyotorokea ya Danganyika.

Hakuna biashara yeyote mtelezo. Angalau sasa ana nafasi ya kupambana na wengine badala ya kulipia ndege zake parking fees kwa serikali ambayo inafanya mambo yake kwa mwendo wa konokono.

Wewe Paul hujui lolote. I have been in all East African countries. Once you fail to make a better business in Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and South Sudan just forget it. Reason because there markets are at an infant stage.

what makes Museveni the dictator??
My own version of detecting dictatorship undertones in museveni.
1.) Museveni pretends that he doesn't remember when he was born, do you know why?.
2.) This guy has dared to say that he took power by the edge of the sword, so whoever that feels like he/she fits the bill can kindly present him or herself for a challenge, what does that mean?
3.) The old boy is screwing anything sprouting out as an opposition. Notably, the guy has ruled Uganda even more longer than what some of us have known the earth.

😂😂😂unaongelea tabia. i always travel in Uganda for business issues. Trust me Museveni is the best president for Uganda
Kuchumishwa mboga unaita business issues kweli si ungesema mahaba issues.

Wewe uko na helicopter? Kama huna helicopter kaa kando kama wengine wetu. Hii ni vita ya wenye nchi.

Anapata certificate in one week because of corruption, as the result Kenya is leading in Air trafic accident in the region, juzi kati almanusra ndege zigongane angani.

Kutoa Approval ya kuruhusu biashara ya civil aviation sio jambo rahisi, unahitaji umakini wa hali ya juu sana, sio jambo la kujisifia kwa kulifanya haraka bila umakini.
