Uhuru's supporters were getting angry with him for being too 'soft' when answering Raila.
He has now read the signs and has started acting appropriately. You cannot be insulted for 5 consecutive years but always act cool.
When Uhuru says Jubilee has the numbers to impeach Raila, the only people getting angry are the Raila supporters. The ones who Uhuru will never get to vote for him.
So, why bother?
His new strategy is to solidify his base, excite them and show them he is not a weakling.

In any case, he is talking the truth. Nasa should blame no one but themselves for their chaotic nominations and strategy that gave Jubilee such a huge majority.

Odinga family imetawala opposition kutoka independence. Familia moja. Baba akakufa, akaachia mwana hapo hapo.
At least kwa Kenyatta, kulikuwa na gap ya miaka 35 kutoka baba akufe na mwana achukuwe hatamu.

The goal here is the presidency.

The implied tenor is that, once Jubilee has the numbers for impeachment,they can cook up anything and make it stick.

I am afraid Kenya could very easily revert to 2007 all over again if this is to go through, as Raila's supporters are not going to sit still.
 

We rail about Magufuli not being careful with his words and whatnot.

But lately Uhuru is proving not to be far behind with his reckless statements.

I mean, for all I know a president cannot just get impeached unless he/she has committed an impeachable offense.

But I guess in Kenya if they can't beat you at the ballot box they'll beat you in parliament through their tyranny of numbers, just because!

Not one Jubilee member has 'vowed' to change the constitution. They have said they have the numbers necessary, in a bid to emphasize how idiotic Raila's claims that he won are. You have a super majority but somehow Raila won.

Which one talked about scrapping term limits? Don't be a spreader of fake news. That would require a referendum and I'm sure Ruto and everyone else hoping to be president would not be on board.

So, you want Raila to win but because he does not have numbers in parliament to even change the TV channel, he dissolves parliament? Because we don't have work to do but to hold elections every 2 years.

Raila has a 1 billion house in Riat Hill, Kisumu. Mbona anatusumbua hivi?
Jubilee is the only government to start a large scale irrigation project. Unlike Israel, they are doing so without tens of billions of dollars of US aid money.

Mzee Raila has disturbed this country for many years. And the problem with these civil rights campaigners like Raila is they are good in politics and extremely bad in development. Even for the 5 years he was in Kibaki's government, he was still opposing everything. It's in his blood and dna. Good thing the curtain has fallen on the Odinga dynasty.
The fought for some of our rights today, but misunderstood that to mean that Kenyans trust them to run an economy.

I pray he will bow out honorably next month.

Do you even understand the context?

Uhuru said, "Even IF Raila were to be elected, Jubilee has the opportunity to impeach him."
He added that Raila has no numbers to conduct any business in parliament or senate.

In short, Uhuru is trying to explain in simple language, that Raila is wasting everyone's time with this fresh election thing because he lost from MCA, to MP to Senator to Governor.

If you were to engage your mind a little bit, you would understand that Uhuru is saying, "If Jubilee has enough numbers to impeach a president, and almost enough to ammend the constitution, then how can a reasonable person claim that Raila won on August 8th?"
Kenyans woke up on that day, voted Jubilee from the toes to the neck, but somehow voted Nasa as the head? Nonsense.

Uhuru said they have enough numbers to impeach. Kumaanisha Jubilee performed so well on August 8th that they got a super-majority.
He was emphasizing a point.
The point being Raila lost fair and square, from MCA to MP to Senator... everything including the presidency.

Which president has ever won, but his party managed just a quarter of the MPs?

If you proceed with Uhuru's speech, he says that this fresh election will only be a wastage of Sh14 billion which could have been used to build roads and hospitals.
In short, he is angry with Raila for failing to accept defeat, even in the face of overwhelming evidence.
