525 vehicles Zote ni MILITARY STYLE ...Na ni za Police force
its obvious that the mraps are going to border regions for protection against ambushes and ieds........ since the other police APCs were launched, police deaths on roadside ieds in NE have greatly reduced... its stupid for anyone to be planning to try to use them against people rioting with stone and sticks...Alshabaab imewashinda...peleka hizo magari kule mandera..thats where they needed..
Why think so? In 2013 when Kenya was insecure, people made a lot of noise for government to modernize security forces and secure its citizens and that is what it is doing! Then people who never seize to criticize at it again saying why the government is arming itself! People will never be satisfied especially the opposition!! For sure, sense the government Implemented reforms in security, Kenya has been secure, not only from terrorists, car-jacking, bank robbery etc. Kenya is now a secure heaven under jubilee, I do believe community cattle rustling in Baringo will be a thing of the pastSo the govt is arming itself against its citizens....
Still way far more and more need to be purchasedbut stricly speaking on a purely security point of view. nimesoma eti now police have around 5,800 vehicles, those are not nearly enough vehicles to cover police/vehicle ratio and coverage of those vihicles compared to the population of kenya..... thats like 1 police vehicle for 8,000 kenyans...
Kenya has been very secure for the last few years under jubilee, I think on this, I will support them! They worked really hard on this!!Alshabaab imewashinda...peleka hizo magari kule mandera..thats where they needed..
