Uhuru's copy and paste plan from Magufuli on reopening of economy
With Tanzanian economy on the move, Kenyan business community seem uneasy to be overtaken by their competitors from Tanzania.
Magufuli's philosophy of "tuendelee kuchapa kazi" translating to let's keep working seem to be working for the better of the country's economy sending alarm to her East African neighbors like Kenya and Uganda.
With his strategy of working while putting in place the health protocols prescribed by the world health organization, his success seems to be a turning point for regional authorities' plans on covid 19.
Kenya's uhuru Kenyatta seems to be lining up for reopening of the economy that has been under partial operation. Just as is the case with President Magufuli, putting in place strict guidelines for the control of coronavirus spread is key and that will be paramount in resumption for the better of the republic not only for economic development but other aspects of the republic as well.
In his previous public addresses, the president of Kenya has indicated that the country cannot afford to be in a lockdown or curfew forever, an indication that he is looking for options that could lead to the reopening of the economy of the country.
The latest remarks by the ministry of health on home care for the asymptomatic patients is another indicator that perhaps the government intends to bring forth the methodology being used by many countries who have already opened their own economies, by employing the slogan, we must learn how to live with the disease.
Initially and even now, president Magufuli has insisted that he can't shut down his country's economy by imposing a curfew nor a lockdown. True to his words the country is in the working mood as usual something his regional peers are keeping a keen eye on.
With Tanzanian learning institutions set to reopen, Kenya can't afford to see all that progress while keeping curfew and partial lockdown in place. And despite the rising number of new covid 19 positive cases within the country, the government seems to be headed the Tanzanian way.
The government of Kenya through multiple government officials has indicated that all the government is doing is put in place strategies that will help control the spread of the disease. This means that the government is set to reopen the economy and handle the pandemic while the economy is fully running just as Tanzania has done.

Note:" If you can't fight him, join him". Hongera sana Uhuru Kenyatta.
