Just watched the statehouse summit on corruption and I couldn't have been more disgusted.

A whole president complaining about corruption, blaming the Judges and what not that he has done everything and nothing seems to be moving. What kind of nonsense is this? If he too goes on complaining, what does he expect the rest of us to do?

Expecting that "Independent bodies " which are themselves useless bodies filled with thieves will fight corruption is to be naive of him. Now the thieves will get bolder. Waste of time this man is. We are borrowing 800 Million shillings a day and this guy doesn't even see it as his SOLE responsibility to protect this nation from thieves who are looting us dry?

Magufuli with all his faults, is a much better choice that Uhuru who has perfected the art of complaining and warning thieves. His deputy - Ule jamaa wa "My friend", is not any better. Such a sad state of affairs.

Maze nimetire na hawa wadhii niaje? Halafu ule sonko wa mabanga anadai ati ata-arrest mtu akichukua hongo and yet anajaribu kujitetea. These summits are just a waste of time. Very useless.

felt the same too. I know he is trying hard to act holier than tho in implementing the new constitution, but if he still hold on it, Kenya is ferked. The kenyan courts cannot handle corruption cases taking into consideration the bribery that takes place in the country. Tanzanians should be very careful when changing their constitution by avoiding copy paste.

Uhuru is complaining upon thieves and Judges who can't work upon Corruption BECAUSE Uhuru Also is Kubwa la Macorruption in Kenya. Holding Huge Land and leave otherz poorer without Land and Job what do Uhuru expect? People must engage much in corruption instead Being in Production..

A-step down kama ameshindwa kazi! Kila mtu in Kenya anajua his Kikuyu cycle r milking dry the country with grand corruption schemes n yet he pretends to have no solution? That is pathetic..

Naye analalamika badala ya kutoa tamko au kauli.

Magufuli hana body to compare in grafts fighting. Kama huamini muulize PLO Lumumba will tell you.
uhuru and magufuli are in two different cicurmstances.....dont compare the two.uhuru's power is limited by the constitution while magufuli is the constitution

After the waiguru saga, many people stoped believing he was serious on graft, you cannot complain for four years that i dont have powers ! then with such a progressive constitution who has the powers then? such comments only empowers the graft kings and make him look spineless.

You are always giving a lame and empty excuses.
I don't see any point of having a constitution which ties behind the arms of the president and deters from acting against looters. Your constitution turns your president into a lamenter. Nothing he can do. He is just mourning.
Our Magufuli is man of action. He is not crying like a baby. The constitution gives him a power to hire and fire without any thrust or consent from anywhere.

As much as I agree with him being capped by the rule of law and the constitution, and the need for the institutions to do their job, I felt let down by him admitting his frustrations so blatantly in the national TV. He is the authority, the center and him standing there so helplessly just sent panic across the whole nation.

He should bark, chest thump, shout, threaten and be seen to be in control like uncle Magu down-south.
The constitution limits him right, but he still has a lot at his disposal, he has the NIS that he should be using to gather intelligence on the corrupt cartels and fight them through other means without creating much fireworks.

I don't even know what am complaining about, hey people we have a situation and must deal with it as a nation. Seeing those institutional heads passing the buck at each other so defensively, dampened my spirit on this war. The judicially blaming it on the investigators and lack of resources to hasten cases, police head burying his head on the sand so shamelessly...... people we have it on our hands.

Anyway it's a good start, has generated a nationwide debate, however not sure what impact this will have, or the outcome, or the way forward but let's talk, scream, vent our anger, shout....somewhere down the bumpy ride, it might get better.

I would vouch for our model a thousand times, a constitutional order and power on institutions has always been the best way and has been tested all over the world. The Tanzanian model is way far behind us, we were there eons ago. It's history to us and we will never wish for it. Don't drag us back.

Despite Magufuli having the powers to hire and fire at the slightest whim, can you point out any high profile corruption cases he has helped to curtail. The records are still there in the open, the likes of Lugumi, Escrow, IPTL etc the beneficiaries of these vices are still walking free in the current regime and holding offices.

You always hide behind narrations that these rottennesses happened during the previous administration, but it's a known fact Magu inherited all the dirt from that regime, including beneficiaries who are seating pretty.

Honestly, Tanzania will never adopt such a constitution. Your constitution is great but given the current state of affairs and the challenges we collectively face as Africans in Africa, adopting such a constitution is a tragedy.

The guy is soft, even Kikwete has never been this sponge. Saying what he said its a disgrace - he failed. He should step down instead of crying like an orphan child.
